Grass Whistle (Japanese: くさぶえ Grass Flute), formatted as GrassWhistle prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a non-damaging Grass-type move introduced in Generation III. Prior to Generation IV, it was the signature move of Roselia.
Effect
Grass Whistle puts the target to sleep. Pokémon with the Ability Soundproof are not affected by this move.
If powered up by a Grassium Z into Z-Grass Whistle, the user's Speed stat rises one stage.
Grass Whistle can also be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, causing certain moves (Dream Eater, Hex, Nightmare and Wake-Up Slap) to give an extra three appeal points if used in the next turn.
