Jumpluff (Japanese: ワタッコ Watacco) is a dual-type Grass/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Skiploom starting at level 27. It is the final form of Hoppip.
Biology
Physiology
Its body is blue and round with cotton puffs on each side of the body on the ends of what appear to be its arms, and one on its head, the one on its head has two tiny green leaves poking out of the top. It has feet and a small tail. Its Generation II Sugimori artwork featured it to have a spot on its belly.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Jumpluff can use its fluffy cotton spores to float through the air. These spores can control its flight even in the extremely high winds of a hurricane.
Behavior
Jumpluff drifts on seasonal winds and can use its cotton spores to masterfully manoeuvre itself around the globe. It will spread spores as it floats around to create offspring
Jumpluff descends to the ground when it encounters cold air currents while it is floating.

Many Jumpluff made a short appearance in Celebi: Voice of the Forest.
Jumpluff's debut was in Bulbasaur... the Ambassador!.
Officer Jenny had a Jumpluff in An Egg-Sighting Adventure!. Jenny used this Jumpluff to dust for footprints left by the criminals who supposedly stole Ash's egg.
Tammy had three Jumpluff in I Politoed Ya So!.
A Jumpluff was used by one of the students of the Pokémon Trainer's School in Gonna Rule The School!.
A Jumpluff was used by a Coordinator in the Contest in DP146.

- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: A Jumpluff seeks the help of Shiftry to rescue its friend, another Jumpluff who is trapped in the Silent Chasm. Shiftry fails and the player has to go to the rescue. For the rest of the main game, they are seen around Pokémon Square. Shortly after the end credits, both Jumpluff fly away on the winds.

- At 6.6 lbs, Jumpluff is the lightest Pokémon that has undergone two evolutions.
- Jumpluff is one of ten non-Bug, Template:Type2 Pokémon that cannot learn Fly.
- Jumpluff is the only non-starter Template:Type2 that has undergone two evolutions and does not use an evolutionary stone to undergo the second one.
- In Pokémon Colosseum, the shadows of Jumpluff's spores are square. In addition, the spores are always facing the same way relative to the camera, and as such, the player is the only able to see one side of them.
- Jumpluff's Silver Pokédex entry states that it uses spores to produce offspring, despite the fact that Pokémon breed to produce eggs.
Origin
Jumpluff appears to be based on the final stage in the lifespan of a dandelion. Its movements in Pokémon Battle Revolution gives it a look of a cheerleader.
Name origin
Jumpluff's name is a combination of jump and fluff. Its Japanese name is based on 綿 wata, cotton and 根っ子 nekko, root.
Jumpluff's evolutionary line's names are a reference to the phrase, 'Hop, Skip and Jump'.
