Pokémon Conquest is divided in many stories, including The Legend of Ransei, which is initially the only playable story. Clearing this story will unlock the Select Story menu, which contains the remaining stories that the player manages to unlock. There are 37 selectable stories, one for each Warlord, with varying objectives, difficulty, and included kingdoms.
The Legend of Ransei
The objective of this story changes as the story line progresses. All 17 kingdoms of Ransei are eventually included.
The Legend of Ransei

In the event that the player conquers all 17 kingdoms, thus eliminating all enemy armies, the scenario will go on, clearing only when the objective is fulfilled.

These seven stories have the same objective: Conquer seven kingdoms. The following kingdoms of Ransei are included: Pugilis, Violight, Chrysalia, Terrera, Illusio, Cragspur, and Avia.
Notably, only female Warriors and Warlords appear in these stories (with the exception of Ranmaru, who ends up being forced to participate after he is mistaken for a girl).

Ninja stories
These four stories have the same objective: Conquer eight kingdoms. The following kingdoms of Ransei are included: Cragspur, Viperia, Yaksha, Avia, Valora, Spectra, Nixtorm, and Dragnor.
Only Pokémon of the ninja types, Poison, Ghost, and Dark, appear in these stories, along with the Dragon type which Nene includes on a whim. Although these are the only types that appear as wild Pokémon and default partners of the Warriors that appear in the stories, any prior Gallery accomplishments can bend the rules.
A Shroud of Darkness
