Origin
Exploud is based on a ghettoblaster, otherwise known as boombox, a portable music system that can play music at a relatively high volume.
Name origin
Exploud's name may be a combination of explode and loud. Its Japanese name may be a combination of back and 音楽 ongaku, music, referring to the openings on Exploud's back which allow it to create loud bellowings.
