Trivia

  • Miltank is the only Female-only Pokémon that had its male counterpart, Tauros, introduced in a different Generation.
  • In the anime, people have eaten or stated that they desire hamburgers, which usually are made from the meat of cows. Since Miltank are cow Pokémon, it is speculated that people may or may not eat Miltank, or possibly even Tauros.
  • The spots shown on a Miltank's back sprite seems to change with each new Generation.
  • Despite it being based on a cow, and having a heavy weight, it is seen in its sprites and anime that it can stand on its hind legs.

Origin

Miltank is based on female cattle. It shares many traits with jersey cattle, a kind of dairy cow.

Name origin

Miltank's name is a combination of milk and tank, a storage container for liquid. The tank part of Miltank's name could also refer to her tank-like defense stats.

In other languages

  • German: Miltank
  • French: Ecremeuh - From écrémé (skim) and meuh (moo).
  • Korean: 밀탱크 Miltaengkeu
