Yellow Apricorns first appeared in Going Apricorn!, where Kurt sent Ash, Misty, and Brock to harvest some Apricorns. However, the tree they found was infested by a group of Pineco, preventing them from picking up any Apricorns from it.
In An Egg Scramble!, Yellow Apricorns were one of the things Khoury was selling at the Johto Festival.

Gold, Silver & Crystal arc
In Yikes, It's Yanma!, an Apricorn lottery was used to randomly decide which pairs of Gym Leaders from Kanto and Johto would face each other in an interregional exhibition tournament at Indigo Plateau. Lt. Surge and Morty got a Yellow Apricorn each.
Trivia
- PRZCureBerry trees in Generation II are replaced by Yellow Apricorn trees in Generation IV.
- The Ylw Apricorn and Blu Apricorn swapped index numbers between Generation IV and Generation V. They are the only items to do so between those two generations.
