Poison Point (Japanese: どくのトゲ Poison Spine) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.
Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move that makes contact, there is a 30% chance that the attacking Pokémon will become poisoned.
If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a multi-strike move that makes contact (such as Fury Swipes), each hit has an independent chance to activate this Ability.
Outside of battle
Poison Point has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia
- The Ability Poison Touch introduced in Generation V can be thought of having Poison Point's inverse effect.
- Prior to becoming an Ability, Poison Point appeared as a TCG Attack.
- Although the move's data that it poisons a Pokémon if makes direct contact, it never states that it does the same effect to humans, although this could be the case, as in the anime, the only time this Ability is seen is in A Venipede Stampede!, in which Ash was the only one affected by this Ability simply by touching a wild Venipede.
