Iron Island is a volcanic island northeast of Canalave City, accessible by ferry from the docks by talking to the sailor.
This optional but rewarding location is home to Riley who will partner with you as you explore the island's lower floors, turning battles into Double Battles or Multi Battles.
A Shiny Stone can be found here, allowing you to evolve Roserade from Roselia and other Pokémon that evolve with Shiny Stones.
After defeating the Team Galactic Grunts on the left part of B2F, Riley will give you a Riolu Egg.
If your party is full when you receive the egg, it will go directly to your PC Box.
TM Iron Tail and Iron Ball can also be found here.

Canalave Gym
The Canalave Gym specializes in Steel-type Pokémon.
The gym is a multi-story building with moving metal platforms, fixed steel beams, and mechanical lifts.
You must navigate through a series of rooms on different floors, using the platform mechanics to progress toward Byron at the top.
Fire-, Water-, and Ground-type moves are effective against Steel types.
Fire-type moves in particular deal super effective damage and are recommended for this gym.
Upon defeating Byron, you receive the Mine Badge and TM91 (Flash Cannon) x5.
The Mine Badge is Sinnoh's sixth gym badge and enables the use of Strength as a field move, though you already have the Strength TM from the Lost Tower earlier.
Bastiodon's high defensive stats make it difficult to break through, so bringing a Fire-type move or special attacker is advisable.
Steelix's Earthquake is powerful; use a Flying-type Pokémon or one immune to Ground-type moves to counter it.
Bronzor's Trick Room reverses the Speed stat order for five turns, so be sure to take it down before it can use it.
Canalave Library
After defeating Byron, your rival Barry waits for you outside and tells you to meet Professor Rowan at the Canalave Library.
Rowan tells you he would like to conduct research at the three lakes of Sinnoh: Lake Valor, Lake Verity, and Lake Acuity.
He assigns each of you to investigate one of the lakes.
As you receive your assignment, an explosion is heard, and the ground shakes.
A sailor comes say an explosion happend at Lake Valor and you are assigned to investigate it.
When you reach the lake itself, you discover that the water level has been drained dramatically by Team Galactic.
A bomb was detonated here, and the lake will remain drained until later in the story.
The drained lake reveals paths to Valor Cavern, where a legendary Pokémon dwells.
Valor Cavern is a small cavern beneath the drained lake, accessible now that the water has receded.
Inside, you will find Commander Saturn instead of Azelf the lake guardian.
Travel to Lake Verity, where your adventure began at the very start of the game.
Team Galactic is present, attempting to capture Mesprit, one of the lake guardians.
Defeat the few grunts outside and then enter the cave to challenge Commander Mars.
