Walkthrough:Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl/Part 18

This is the Bulbapedia walkthrough for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
These pages follow the remade Nintendo Switch iteration, not Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The guide for those games can be found here.

Route 211

We have already visited Route 211 before in Part 7 and Part 15. Enter Mount Coronet from either side.

Mount Coronet (North)

The northern section of Mount Coronet is now fully accessible with your obtained badges and Hidden Moves. You must have both Strength and Rock Smash to navigate the interior passages, both of which you now possess. The route through Mount Coronet North connects the middle sections to the northern exit toward Route 216.

Navigate North through the tunnel, using Strength to move boulders and Rock Smash to break cracked rocks as needed. On the underground lake level, you will find an exclusive opportunity to catch Feebas, a rare Water-type Pokémon. Feebas is found only in this one underground lake and in a small selection of specific water tiles in the lake. Fish in the water tiles to encounter Feebas at level 30-32. Feebas evolves into the elegant Milotic when raised with high Beauty.

After navigating Mount Coronet North, exit to the north toward Route 216.

Route 216

Route 216 lies between Mount Coronet and Snowpoint City, running through a snowy mountain terrain. Ice-type and Fighting-type Pokémon are found here due to the cold climate and mountainous terrain. Sneasel, a Dark/Ice-type Pokémon that evolves into the swift and deadly Weavile when leveled up at night while holding a Razor Claw, is common here. Snover, a Grass/Ice-type Pokémon that evolves into Abomasnow at level 40, is also frequent. Your team should have diversity of types to handle the Ice and Fighting types here.

Route 217

Route 217 is the final stretch of road leading to Snowpoint City. The route is blanketed in snow and ice, making it particularly harsh to traverse. Ice and Fighting-type Pokémon dominate the wild encounters here again. Watch out for trainers with high-level Pokémon who make use of the icy terrain. The city of Snowpoint lies directly north at the end of this route.

Acuity Lakefront

Acuity Lakefront is located north of Route 217, at the southern edge of Lake Acuity. The area is extremely cold due to the proximity of the icy lake. When you arrive, you discover that Team Galactic is still active in the region. Two Team Galactic Grunts are blocking the northern entrance to Lake Acuity, preventing direct access to the lake and the legendary Pokémon dwelling within. These Grunts will not allow you to pass until after you have defeated Candice, the Gym Leader of Snowpoint City.

Wild Pokémon here are primarily Ice- and Fighting-type Pokémon, reflecting the harsh environment.

This article is part of Project Walkthroughs, a Bulbapedia project that aims to write comprehensive step-by-step guides on each Pokémon game.
