Welcome to Bulbapedia, JasonL!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

The Userspace Policy says that you should keep userspace edits (edits to User:JasonL) to a minimum, and outlines a few other guidelines for your userspace.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
 Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Signature

Your signature is against the Signature policy, because it doesn't link to your user page. Linking to your user page is required according to that policy. Lady Ariel 01:13, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Episodes

When an episode is airing, please wait until the episode concludes before editing the page. Thank you. G50 14:11, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Squirtle's Bubble

Can you confirm that Squirtle's attack in EP112 was Bubble in the Japanese version? I'd check it myself, but I can't find the episode in Japanese.--Den Zen 12:51, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Well I didnt know that was in japan I thought it was both English and Japan.--JasonL 13:12, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I'll revert your edits then.--Den Zen 13:38, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
well I know Squirtle can use bubble and Bubblebeam but bubble was used in the english version in Ep112 didn't know that was dub edits.- unsigned comment from JasonL (talkcontribs)
Stop posting to my talk page (especially in the middle of it), it's against the talk page etiquette and it's written in my talk page rules. How come you didn't know it was a dub edit when you removed this? And it doesn't matter that it was Bubble in the English version, only the Japanese version is canon.--Den Zen 14:04, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Lady Ariel 23:14, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! ----Pokemaster97 23:16, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Ash's Pokémon

Stop changing the current location of Ash's Pokémon, he still rotates them. In BW116 he had Boldore, and he has Krookodile in the ending.--Den Zen 12:23, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

True he does rotates them but Pikachu is always with Ash and Pignite wasn't seen to be in Prof Juniper's Lab.--JasonL 12:36, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
1. Don't remove talk page comments. 2. Don't reply to my talk page; it is against the rules. 3. Change your signature so that it's not against the signature policy. 4. When Ash captured Sewaddle, we decided that all of Ash's Unova Pokémon have "in rotation" as their location, even if they have never been "Junipered".--Den Zen 12:48, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Preview button

Please remember to use the preview button so you don't have to re-edit an article many times in a row like you did earlier today with BW123. Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:49, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

BW139

Can you help me finish the plot for episode Team Rocket's Shocking Recruit!? Thank you. --Pikachu65 14:39, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Jessie's Lickitung

Please stop adding "Princess vs Princess" as the first use of Lick. It was not stated to be lick. It just licked the opponent which does not mean it used the move lick. --ForceFire 13:30, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

If you continue to make reverts relating to the "Princess vs princess" or "lick" pages, you'll be blocked for edit warring. Please adhere to the message that Force Fire left you above. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 15:21, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
After watching the episode, the announcer did say "Lickitung's Lick attack isn't working against Psyduck". I guess I missed it because it was happening at the end (or the climax) of the episode, so all the viewer would be caring about is Psyduck being unaffected by Lickitung's licks not what the announcer is saying. All other mentions of licks weren't actually specified as the move.--ForceFire 05:11, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
No wait, scratch that. SnorlaxMonster has given the reason.--ForceFire 07:36, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Image linking.

Please check on the Archives to see if an image was uploaded before just adding it to the article. You linked to an image of Korrina's Lucario using Metal Sound that wasn't added until six days after your edit. Ataro (talk) 09:02, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Signature policy

I noticed you were told previously to change your signature. Because it's been a while, and your signature is still in violation of the signature policy, consider this as another reminder to change your signature so it at least links to your userpage, as required by the policy. Thank you. Berrenta (talk) 22:05, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Final Warning

Please stop adding Lick to Jessie's Lickitung, SnorlaxMonster already gave a good reason why it did not use Lick.--ForceFire 02:55, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

*Ahem*

I'd like to inform you that under no circumstance are you to edit an episode article when the episode in question is airing. If you want to fix an error, that's fine, but do it once the episode has finished airing. Ataro (talk) 10:26, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Link Templates

Hey, please use link templates instead of just the standard linking. For example, use Bulbasaur rather than typing Bulbasaur. Same with moves, type Cut rather than Cut. To find all the link templates we have, go here.--ForceFire 03:44, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

A side note, new comments go at the bottom of the talk page under a new section. You can create a new section by clicking the "+" tab in between the "Edit This Page" tab and "History" tab.--ForceFire 13:31, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Pikachu Speak

Please stop changing "Matte" and "Sayōnara" to their English equivalent. The tv series is a Japanese show, so Pikachu's speech would match that of the Japanese language, not the English.--ForceFire 03:00, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Mienfoo and Meowstic's Pokedex entries

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mienfoo_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29 and http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Meowstic_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29 Pokedex entries that I added are not completed. Can you add those entries if you would 'cause I don't know what kind of entries they are?

Clemont's Luxio

What source do you have for Sarah Natochenny being Luxio's VA? glikglak 18:09, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Three things: First, keep discussions on one talk page to make it easy to follow; second, we can't guess voice actors by what they sound like; and third, your signature has to link to your talk page. glikglak 18:26, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Again, your signature must link to your user page. Please change it to do so. And I have no idea what your last message means. glikglak 01:42, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Signature, again

Your siganture is either still or once again not conforming to Bulbapedia signature policy. I'm really not sure which, because it seems you had it half right not long ago, but not any more; or perhaps something else is going on. In any case, it should link to your user or talk page. Please fix your signature or make sure you are using it correctly. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:12, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Luxio's VA

If you are unable to contact Wayland over twitter, then I am going to have to ask you to refrain from editing anything about Luxio's voice actor. If it bugs you that much, ask Wayland or just let it go.--ForceFire 04:35, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Like I said, if you can't contact Wayland to ask if Sarah voiced Luxio then don't bother with this subject. Let it go. This is your final warning.--ForceFire 04:00, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Final Warning

If you cannot or simply refuse to contact a voice actor over twitter, then you are just going to let it go. Let other users who CAN contact VAs do the finding. Failure to comply will lead to a block.--ForceFire 04:19, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Fansubs

Fansubs are NOT official sources, they are fan made and can be riddled with several errors. Japanese titles are only to be handled by users who speaks or has knowledge on the Japanese language. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:56, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Shadow Ball

Can you fix the Shadow Ball page? I don't think I did it right. Seabiscuit2020 talk 16:19, 18 April 2015 (UTC) I fixed it.--Jay-Man 15:41, 27 April 2015 (UTC)JasonL (Talk)

Just FYI

Per talk page policy, you're not supposed to correct another person's comments. That said, I'm one of those who doesn't mind where it's obviously wrong, and since Bonnie - well - doesn't own a Clemont, thanks for fixing that. Just letting you know because policy says don't do it. I think they want you to ask the user what they meant (perhaps on their own talk page) and then the user corrects it. =) CycloneGU (talk) 01:49, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

I didn't mean to copyright I was trying to help fix what was misspelled.--Jay-Man 02:10, 27 April 2015 (UTC) JasonL (Talk)
Read that more carefully. I didn't use the word "copyright" at all. All I said is, per the talk page policy, it says, "Please do not edit another user's discussion—even if it's full of spelling errors" (mine was a wrong word, but same idea). I then said I'm one of the people who doesn't mind, and thanked you for fixing it. Just be careful not to get in the habit of doing it everywhere as THAT could become a bad thing. CycloneGU (talk) 02:58, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Also, should you reply, please do so here. I'll either get an e-mail alert or see it in Recent Changes. CycloneGU (talk) 02:58, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Glad you understand. I didn't mean to edit somebody's work I'm just used to edit to correct articles, not Talk pages.--Jay-Man 15:41, 27 April 2015 (UTC)JasonL (Talk)

No worries. The point is that someone's comments are their own, not an article like everything else. Like I said, I didn't mind, but some people do - especially if you are mistaken in a correction. All is good. =) CycloneGU (talk) 15:58, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank U!--Jay-Man 15:59, 27 April 2015 (UTC)JasonL

Fansubs, again

You've been warned about this before, but fansubs are not reliable sources. You also put a link to a fansub in an edit summary of yours. Putting a source for your edit in edit summaries is a good thing, but fansubs are unreliable and also illegal sources. It is not allowed to spam links to fansubs or sites providing fansubs in edits or edit summaries. Because of that, I removed your edit summary, although I didn't undo your edit as you were still right, even if you used a fansub as a source. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:28, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

I didn't mean it I was just proving my theory to one of the users.--Jay-Man 00:58, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Signing, again

Though you improved a bit from the last time I told you about your signature, it still needs to look proper. Signatures never follow the dates; instead, it's the other way around. Look at how everyone else has signed to see how it should look. In order for it to look successful, sign with 4 tildes (~~~~), no more, no less. Berrenta (talk) 22:07, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

I always do the signature I dunno what's wrong. And I'm doing it just like the users.--Jay-Man 01:00, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
Look at Berrenta's signature, and look at my signature. We link to our talk pages and user pages (though my user page doesn't exist as I never created one, so it's a red link; might do one soon since I've been contributing lately). The point is that your "signature" is just your name. It's clear to me you're using the tildes to bring it up but you edited what appears to not have those links. That makes it hard for someone to follow up with you. CycloneGU (talk) 02:44, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
On your preferences page, under the User profile tab, under the Signature section, try checking/unchecking the "Treat the above as wikicode." box. --Abcboy (talk) 02:46, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Signing, again

You signature still didn't link to either your userpage or user talk page. To change your signature, go to Preferences. You can type like this: JasonL (talk). Don't forget to tick the "Treat as wikicode" check box. Thank you. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 14:00, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Oops sorry. Guess I left out the signature.--Jay-Man 14:08, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

No, you still aren't linking your userpage in your signature, and you are required to have one in there. Please fix it immediately so it complies. You can edit in under preferences. Berrenta (talk) 01:20, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
I will upload images in how to change your signature, but I will do that 2:00 PM in my country or 3:00 PM, or someone can do that instead. I don't know if you didn't still understand the images. Or maybe, you are not using the four tildes? --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 01:31, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Once again, I didn't mean leave out the signature. I thought I added it but didn't know I didn't added it.--Jay-Man 03:14, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

You aren't using the tildes (~), clicking the signature box on the edit box, have "treat as wikicode" as "Jay-Man" without a link. Which of the four scenarios are you doing?--ForceFire 04:11, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
I think the tildes are being used. The dates are appearing consistently from the signatures I've seen.
I think the concern is more the content of the signature itself. For that, JasonL, go to Preferences at the top of this page, scroll down to signature, and paste the following into the box for a custom signature:
JasonL (talk)
That will satisfy the signature requirements. If you want to change it from there, you can discuss what you'd like to do and get advice on what can be done with a signature, and what can't. Me, I've always used the generic signature. Why change what works? I advise using that for now, too. CycloneGU (talk) 04:59, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
Actually, in my two first user talk edits (12), I didn't use the four tildes, but you can still have a correct time by looking at the UTC clock of Bulbapedia and place it in the editing area. That's what I did when I didn't know the four tildes yet. So it is still possible that he didn't used the four tildes. Probability is key. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 07:14, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Final Warning

Do not play by ear. Playing by ear is possibly the worst way to figure out who voiced who as other voice actors can probably produce the same voice. I have told you time and time again, contact a VA to find out their role, do not guess. Failure to follow this will have consequences. If you are unable to contact a Voice Actor, then you are going to have to refrain from editing anything about VA confirmation.--ForceFire 14:21, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Alright. Let me make one thing clear with you, you are walking a very, very thin line with me right now and you do not want to push it. Do not remove talk page comments, regardless if you got the message or not. You have been here long enough to know of the Talk page policy, but you're clearly not. There's the link, read over it again. And sign you're messages with four tildes (~), you're clearly not doing that.--ForceFire 14:36, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
I think someone must protect Ash's Goodra to administrators only, both edit and move. I don't want an edit war now... --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 14:41, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

I don't want to cause an edit war either I was just proving everyone's theory that's all Besides you're all Users you're supposed to figure out who voiced who is it that how you know everything on Bulbapedia? So don't lock Goodra's page until all of us (that's me, you and the others) figure out a way of this situation.--Jay-Man 14:49, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Unless there is an actual edit war going on, there's no need to protect it.--ForceFire 14:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Please

Please don't remove any talk page comments. Force Fire is right, listening just by ear is really the worst source. You are here long enough to know already the rules. Your almost not listening to our warnings (I know, your longer here in Bulbapedia than me. But the problem is, your still not following the rules enough.). --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 14:36, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

I do follow rules. Besides you and ForceFire are users too. I thought all users supposed to listen carefully not the other way around. I was trying to help that's all. Besides since you know what's going on, maybe you or someone else can find the source so that way we can know who's right and who's wrong so there isn't a problem. And we can edit things nice and easy without conflict.--Jay-Man 14:59, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

If I said that Sliggoo is voiced by pizza, the burden of proof is on me to contact the VAs or others involved to prove that Sliggoo is voiced by pizza (or not). Is there a reason why you cannot contact the voice actors yourself? --Abcboy (talk) 15:08, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

To be honest... Yes but the voice actors take long to respond But I don't want to let it go I just wanted to find out about them I only got one respond from Billy Bob saying that Frogadier was voiced by him. Once again I said I'm going to find who voiced who one way or another.--Jay-Man 15:24, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Then you wait for them to respond. Just because they take a long time to respond isn't a reason to rush information into an article. Like at Wikipedia, there is no deadline; it doesn't have to be done by 9 o'clock Monday. CycloneGU (talk) 15:30, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Fine. But if I don't get any respond for real, it's up to you or someone else.--Jay-Man 22:47, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Actually, voice actor information isn't so important. We are now focusing now to new games, like Pokémon Rumble World and Pokémon Shuffle. If you have a 3DS and downloaded either these two, just help there, because we don't care so much of who voiced Pokémon, Ash, or something. Do you know why voice actors are too long to respond? Because they are busy with their jobs. The XY series is still ongoing, so they are still dubbing characters. The same with us, we are busy with Bulbapedia, and can't respond to parents, or relatives, or friends quickly (unless they are also an user of Bulbapedia). --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 00:55, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
I'd be careful with saying that things aren't "important". Of course while there are some tasks to complete on Bulbapedia that is of a higher priority than the voice actors, this is still valid information that some people will be coming to our pages looking for. We don't want to discourage people from contributing, but if something is out of our control, unfortunately that's the way things have to be until the situation changes. --Pokemaster97 01:07, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Okay but isn't there another website besides Facebook and Twitter? That's all I'm asking.--Jay-Man 14:16, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Maybe just Facebook and Twitter. Instagram, I think no. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 01:08, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Ill think of something.--Jay-Man 03:16, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

If you are simply impatient, then I am going to have to ask you to not edit anything regarding VAs. There is currently no other way to find VA sources, unless VAs have personal websites, social media is the only way to go. And we use Twitter because that's the most popular and the most likely place to find VA. So again, if you are simply impatient, then you are going to have to let this go.--ForceFire 04:11, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

That's not the point. I just wanted more help. I was only doing you and the others a favor, no biggie. I just wanted another social media besides FB and Twitter. How about a video channel? Will that count as a source?--Jay-Man 15:39, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

If there's a convention panel video on YouTube where the VAs reveal their roles, then maybe. But I doubt there'd be someone going around conventions asking only questions about who voiced who. Even then, it takes a while for a video to be edited and uploaded (heck, it may take months before the video is uploaded), which isn't ideal if you want a quick "response" (and I use that word loosely in this context). Social media provides a quicker response.--ForceFire 05:24, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Preview Button (Again)

Before submitting an edit, whether an article or talk page comment, please preview by clicking the Preview button. This gives you a chance to corect anything that doesn't look right so you don't end up posting multiple edits to fix problems. Yes, I'm guilty of occasionally missing something myself, but even then, I preview and still miss it, or decide to change something only after already saving the edit. You seem to be correcting mistakes very quickly after submitting, and multiple times. Please: use the Preview button. CycloneGU (talk) 15:16, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

It's okay I always check before editing.--Jay-Man 20:51, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
It's odd, but now I can't find what I saw earlier. Perhaps I meant someone else. I do see now that you edited pages twice in a row a couple of times, and maybe that's what I was remarking on. I've done the same thing when I forget something, so it happens (I just did that in my Sandbox, in fact, when I decided to clarify something in there in case anyone muses upon my projects). CycloneGU (talk) 21:26, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
I just looked again. It was a different user I meant to alert, and I opened the wrong talk page. My mistake. CycloneGU (talk) 21:27, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Last warning regarding your signature

You were informed many times to change your signature so it complies with the signature policy, and you were even given advice on how to do so, yet you didn't seem to act right away. Please go fix your signature so that it complies. It needs to link to your user page and/or your user talk page. Also, be sure you were signing with four tildes (~~~~), not three, not five. If no progress is made, action may be taken, so be sure to ajust it right away. Instructions are here if you need help. Berrenta (talk) 20:53, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Like this?--Jay-Man 23:36, 4 May 2015 (UTC)JasonL

Still doing it wrong. The link must come before the timestamp, and included in your signature under Preferences. Berrenta (talk) 23:39, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Could you show me how it's a little tricky.--Jay-Man 23:45, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

It's far from tricky. See the preferences link up on top? Click that. There's a section labeled Signature. Type in the new signature in the text box, and chect Treat as Wikicode. Finally, hit Save. Berrenta (talk) 00:14, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Or this?--Jay-Man 00:34, 5 May 2015 (UTC)JasonL (Talk)

Could you do me a favor? Please double-click on the text on the next line and then copy it:
~~~~
Then, start a response to this section, and at the bottom of this section, paste that text and save the page. Please write nothing else but that pasted text. Given your responses above, I'm a bit confused about your signature, so I want to see it all by itself. Then maybe I can help you fix all this.With all the subsequent responses, it'd be something like impossible to follow the directions I gave, so never mind. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:54, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Based on the last talk page message, it should print out as the following: "--Jay-Man (Timestamp)JasonL (Talk)" Since the links are still after the timestamp, I would suggest to JasonL that they should replace whatever they have in the text box mentioned by Berrenta with the following: "JasonL (talk)." (To JasonL: Without the parentheses and the period.) That is based on the Wikipedia article that is linked to in the Signature Policy. It can be modify it from that, but that should will at least work for the purpose of getting them compliant with policy. --Super goku (talk) 02:58, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
You're definitely not using the tildes, as if you followed what Berrenta said, the Jay-Man would not be there.--ForceFire 05:24, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
At right are the images of me performing to change my signature. You must understand the images. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 08:02, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, but even I couldn't follow how that page looked and moved the images to the top of the section to accompany the entire section. I've edited Pokéfan's comment to reference appropriately for the sake of readability and have not otherwise modified it (I did want to fix grammar, but resisted LOL). My apologies if this is an overstep. CycloneGU (talk) 15:25, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Blocked
You were told multiple times to fix your signature to adhere to the signature policy, but since you have squandered to make a signature that complies with the policy, you will be blocked from editing the mainspace for a few days. I will allow you to use this talk page so you can show progress. Note the steps shown in the section above this one. I will lift the block when you show a proper signature, and after that I'll expect you to keep it that way once I or another staff member okays it. Berrenta (talk) 16:06, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Hey Berrenta, I don't know if you know this message, but JasonL message you in Bulbagarden Archives. He said he fixed already his signature. However, the signature that is used in Bulbapedia can't be used in Archives without retyping the signature code in Archives, right? When I saw his Global Account info, he logged in his account in Archives July 2010. I joined Bulbapedia April 2015, and when I use the four tildes first time, it shows my signature right (with the userpage and user talk page linked correctly). Maybe it is also available since 2010? Or maybe he isn't using the four tildes.
And JasonL, you must reply it instead in your Bulbapedia user talk page. And the signature used in Bulbapedia is different than Archives. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 02:54, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Berrenta did say this page was being left available to demonstrate that the signature was working and so the block could be lifted. JasonL has yet to demonstrate it. Unless for some reason JasonL is still blocked from accessing this page. CycloneGU (talk) 03:35, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
No, JasonL can still edit his own talk page. I've seen in some block logs that there is a sentence said "Cannot edit own talk page". JasonL's current block log didn't contain that sentence. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 04:19, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
That's what I just said. Berrenta even stated it. CycloneGU (talk) 04:23, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah (what I am trying to say is "That is impossible. JasonL......"). There is also no 503 errors happening here (and 503 errors happen globally). --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 04:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Bulbapedia blocks do not work that way, Berrenta was in error. When blocked on any section of the Bulbawiki Network, the blocked individual is unable to edit anything on the section they're blocked on. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:30, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay, so that's why... But what is the "Cannot edit own talk page" sentence I saw in some other block logs? Maybe that is just me... --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 04:34, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
EDIT: The sentence I saw is on the BlockList special page. It seems that all blocked users cannot edit their own talk page. Edit by: --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 04:37, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Some wikis, such as Wikipedia, choose to have an option that allows blocked users to edit their own talk page (dominantly for block appeals). Bulbagarden staff have decided that such an option isn't necessary, and all blocked individuals are blocked from editing everything for the duration of their block. Appeals here must be handled via e-mail, or the Bulbagarden Forums. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:42, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
(reset indent) So it means, JasonL must change his signature in his Preferences while blocked. After the block, JasonL must show his signature correctly. Because it is impossible to show signature from Bulbapedia via both e-mail and forums. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 05:00, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Well, to be fair, I have had this position for a short time, and am still learning. I realize my mistake though. Will mark out that part. Berrenta (talk) 12:50, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
JasonL, next time don't ignore the warnings when you are not blocked anymore. If you continue to do that, you may face another block again. I am not discouraging you to not edit, I am just helping you. I may be not a staff member, but what I am saying is the truth. We hope you contribute more when you are not blocked anymore! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 02:02, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
It okay I got now! But I didn't know the signature was different than others. But I figure out the problem and now your troubles and mine are over!--JasonL (Talk) 21:11, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Suitable signature confirmed. If you decide you want to do something to dress it up, we're here to help, but you may want to check with someone just to be sure. Me, I'm happy with mine like this for now. CycloneGU (talk) 23:01, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Yep, looks better now. Be sure to ask any of us for advice if you wish to change it up. Berrenta (talk) 00:25, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay. I want to change my username by the way.--JasonL (Talk) 00:44, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
That's completely different. Best to review that policy. CycloneGU (talk) 00:48, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
If you wanna change the name that appears in your signature but not change your username, you can type like this in the signature box in Preferences:
Jay-Man (talk)
We're glad that you fixed now your signature. We hope you do more good contributions! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 08:44, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
Quick Heads-Up
I'm not going to interrupt at Berrenta's page, but I noticed your message there. The image URL suggests that it's from another Wiki, and typically we need permission to use images even from other Wikias (hence why the Shuffle sprites have been slow to get in here for that list). I'll let Berrenta make the call however fits this situation, but typically taking content from other sites and Wikias is not allowed. As an example, even though Serebii posted all the Rumble World stage data before I got there, I verified it myself, and theirs turned out to have errors, so that's why we try to do things ourselves too. =) CycloneGU (talk) 01:41, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
I know the picture was from the Wikia but I was just showing an example.--Jay 21 (Talk) 02:33, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, you maybe just showing an example, but it is risky, because using fair-use is unsafe. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 05:53, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
It's too risky I understand.--Jay 21 (Talk) 13:12, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Signature
This is not the previous warning before, but I noticed you changed your name in your signature. "Poke Cool21" is not accepted. It is said in the signature policy that: "A signature must reflect the username in part, or whole". "Poke Cool21 doesn't reflect your username "JasonL". So please retype this in the signature box: JasonL ([[User talk:JasonL|talk) --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 01:51, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Sorry just wanted to change my user name. I just wanted to improve.--Jay 21 (Talk) 02:32, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Raichu
Just to answer, the Male variant of Raichu are the only Raichu that have appeared in the anime. In other words, until a female Raichu appears in the anime, its gender is unknown.--ForceFire 12:06, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay I get the Idea. I coulda sworn Raichu had a pointy tail that's how I said it was male.--Jay 21 (Talk) 02:06, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Solar Beam
Can you upload a picture of the Blue Flower Florge using Solar Beam, please? Seabiscuit2020 talk 05:39, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
I'll see what I can do.--Jay 21 (Talk) 11:14, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Ash's Sliggoo VA
Sorry, but the link you placed doesn't count. Reliable sources are only from the VA's social media account, or a video of a VA (and if possible, from the VA's website). If you can't contact Tom Wayland, please, let it go. The reason why your link doesn't count is that it is not from social media, or the website of the VA. It may be possible that they are only playing by ear. Thank you. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 10:41, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Well do I need to go on any Tom Wayland website?--Jay 21 (Talk) 11:45, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
It must be the official, officlialy owned by Tom Wayland. I don't see any known website owned by Tom Wayland yet. So please wait, as they are voice actors. They are busy at their work. Don't forget to indent your comments (: for first reply, :: for second reply and vice versa). --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 11:50, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay thanks! But I coulda sworn Tom voiced Sliggoo it was almost the same as Goomy's voice.--Jay 21 (Talk) 20:36, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Keanan's page
Just so you know, I asked someone about moving Keanan's page, because there's nobody else named "Keanan" while there is someone named "Keenan" and the current Keanan page redirects to the latter. I don't think the page should be called Keanan (Kalos), because that doesn't make any sense given the lack of anyone else with that exact name. AGGRON989 12:51, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I coulda sworn because I saw the closed captioning and I thought that's how his name is spelled. I tried to put his name but it said name already exists so I have to put Kalos next to it. Didn't mean to make a mistake.--Jay 21 (Talk) 14:06, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I had that problem too when I tried to move it. I'm just not sure whether an administrator should delete the current Keagan page and move the Kalos one to that location, or if it should be left as is. AGGRON989 14:54, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I deleted the Keanan redirect and moved Keanan's page. In the future, if a page needs to be moved but a redirect is blocking the way, please first ask a staff member to delete the redirect before moving it. Thanks. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:19, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
VAs in general
It appears that you still aren't getting it. Get a source. Find one. Don't just hide it, that's just pointless. If you are still having troubles finding sources, then your just going to have to cease editing anything in relation to Voice Actor confirmation. I've already told you how to get a source, but you are stubbornly not do so. Again, I'm going to need you to cease adding any VA info indefinitely.--ForceFire 12:41, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
I know what I'm doing. Besides I already got information on who voiced who just not yet. That's why I hide it for now. And besides I need more hints to find out a source. Finding one on Face book and Twitter is not helping enough. If someone make a video about who voiced which character will that help more? Just wondering.--Jay 21 (Talk) 16:26, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
Not you haven't gotten the information. And don't hide the information, unless it's one of those Pokémon with a same VA for all species (like Snivy) and iof it's before the episode airs. I doubt that you are having trouble finding twitter profiles for the VAs (thus why I say you are just being stubborn). Google it. Google [VA name] twitter and it should be the first one and a verified account, it's not that hard. And you're not going to find a video every day, because they're convention videos. Conventions only happens a few months and very rarely someone will post a video of a convention.--ForceFire 23:36, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
Well since it will work that way, I will try.--Jay 21 (Talk) 06:30, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Unsigned Template
Please do not re-sign your signature once an unsigned template has been issued. In fact, don't re-sign at all, since it will give off the wrong timestamp. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:00, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't mean it. I thought I left out the signature that's why I started over.--Jay 21 (Talk) 06:12, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Signature
PokéCool21 is not your username. You signature should be your username or some form of it. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:05, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
Adding on to this, please make sure you properly sign your comments on talk pages by using four (4) tilde (~) characters or pressing the signature button. Do NOT sign your comments as soon as you post them with the "unsigned" template, as that does not leave the proper timestamp. The "unsigned" template is only to be used if you forget to sign comments and it is noticed at a later time. ChE clarinetist (talk) 13:56, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Oh I didn't know. I thought it could work either way. And besides I'm unfamiliar with the unsigned thing because I thought it was the same as other signatures.--PokéCool21 (Talk) 12:25, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
The unsigned template is only to be used when someone forgets to sign their comments. Also, you username is NOT PokéCool21. Please use your actual username as you signature, this is your final warning.--ForceFire 12:30, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
Fine. I'll do it! But not because you told me too. And all I want was to change my username that's why I put it like that because I couldn't move it. I didn't think this through that's all.--JasonL (Talk) 12:41, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
If you want to change you username, you have to ask Kogoro.--ForceFire 12:47, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
Unsigned
Hey, may I know why you're marking your comments as unsigned? Just seems odd. I know Missingno. Master's signature looks like it's marked as unsigned but it isn't, as he customized his signature to look like it's been unsigned.--ForceFire 04:45, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
I did it like that just in case someone else tries to improve it.--JasonL (Talk) 04:47, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
"Improve it"? What do you mean by that?--ForceFire 05:33, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
So that others think I'm using the correct signature for Talk pages.--JasonL (Talk) 13:01, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Plusle and Minun's English VAs
I don't get it. You put their English VAs as...different Japanese VAs? Where did you find this information? It certainly wasn't in the credits. Didn't they keep their original Japanese voices? Technickal (talk) 02:16, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Language
Not really, I only learned a tiny bit of Japanese from trying to read non translated manga and watching different kinds of anime sometimes. I speak English though.-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 00:49, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
Rename
Per your request, your username has been changed to CoolPokeGuy. You will need to re-merge your Bulbapedia, Bulbanews, and Bulbagarden Archives accounts via your preferences. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:26, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks for renaming it.--JasonL (Talk) 03:44, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Don't forget to change your signature, it still says JasonL. This is also found in your preferences. CycloneGU (talk) 04:31, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
I changed it already, thanks.--CoolPokeGuy (Talk) 04:41, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Talk Page Comments
Removing talk page comments, including the initial welcome template, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If you wish to clean old comments away, you should archive your talk page instead. Thank you! --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:19, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
VAs, once more
You did it again, you played by ear. You've already been warned about this, yet you keep doing it. Do NOT play by ear, ask an official Voice ACtor on Twitter or any other social media platform to get confirmation. This is your final warning, if you can do the simple task of asking, then you are going to have to refrain from making any VA related edits, are we clear?--ForceFire 04:06, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
Supersonic
Did you watch a subbed version of the episode? Noibat, and presumably Noivern, have an ech-location ability (You can see it being used in XY082) Thos was that ability and not Supersonic. Why would it use Supersonic to to do something it has been shown to do without? And why would it use Supersonic for something it's never been shown to do? Ash never says Supersonic. Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:22, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
Nope, I'm sorry; you are right Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:26, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
XY104
Thanks for editing the plot summary I was working on. I noticed some of the errors you corrected were spelling errors, and I even mistakenly called Clemont "Fleming" (stupid autocorrect). I also didn't notice Klefki's bowtie. I assumed it was wearing one (all the male Pokémon were), but I wanted to be sure.
Anyway thanks for the grammar edits! Ericbazinga (talk) 21:06, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Sourcing
Please don't add any information without a source, you've been told this many times already. You can't say you have a source and not show it, anyone can say that they have a source and not show it, because ten times out of ten, they're lying. So next time, if you have a source, provide the source; show don't tell.--ForceFire 14:59, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Sliggoo and Heliolisk
Alas my information comes from Lisa Ortiz so I doubt I'll know until they feature again. If they do, I'll let you know--BigDocFan (talk) 18:15, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Thunder
At this point in time, Bulbapedia does not approve any information data-mined from the SM Demo for adding to any pages. Please keep this in mind and do not add anything you can't learn directly by playing. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:10, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
I only added it in the meantime just for an early start. Not because of the demo version. I was just trying to help.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 12:15, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
(The above is copied from here.)
Just remember, don't take anything from data-mined info.
And please keep discussions to one page. If someone contacts you here on your talk page, respond here, not on their talk page. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:34, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
I added it on another section just in case no one respond.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 12:59, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
You shouldn't worry about someone not responding without even giving them a chance. Always respond where the discussion started. If there's no response for a long time after that, then you can try leaving a message on the other person's talk page if you need to. But if most people start a discussion, they'll generally pay attention. (Just like you probably do if you start a discussion on someone else's page.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:03, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
I'm not worried. Just curious. And besides I always wait for a response. I'm not impatient.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 13:17, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
Edit warring
If someone removes something you've added, don't just add it back without warning or vice versa. Second, there are no official English subs of the Pokemon anime. Any subs you're talking about are not official and should never be mentioned here. Third, it was in fact Feint Attack. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 19:24, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
Aromatherapy
Did the subtitles confirm that Shaymin used Aromatherapy in SM117? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:32, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
Never mind... --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:32, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
Aromatherapy
The move was first explicitly said (i.e. revealed) in SM134, not SM117.--ForceFire 16:18, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
Please don't revert edits, it falls under edit warring and is a blockable offense. If you disagree with an edit, discuss it with the user that reverted you, do not revert them back. As I said, it was first said, in other words, revealed in SM134. Regardless of the CC saying otherwise.--ForceFire 17:11, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
This just baffles me to no end... Should we contact someone like Chosen in regards to this, CPG? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:41, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
Yeah. Let’s do that. This isn’t getting us nowhere.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 21:01, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
Exactly. Would you be fine with being the one to contact him? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:33, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
I’ll see what I can do.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 07:39, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
Any luck? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:15, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
Still nothing.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 13:58, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
Maybe you should try again? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:01, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
Vikavolt/Brionne
Decided to bring the chat to your own page rather then Force Fire's page, I will ask Lisa Ortiz but as I'm sure you can understand, she is a busy lady. I suspect Laurie Hymes does Brionne whilst Rebecca Becker does Vikavolt but Bulbapedia won't accept it without confirmation from an official source--BigDocFan (talk) 14:32, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
Okay, great. But I already know she’s in the middle of other things. Exactly. Finding a source is really hard these days.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 16:36, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
When she gets the chance, Lisa Ortiz will email me a set of cast lists which I send to Force Fire for approval, as I say she is busy so doesn't always get the chance but with patience, she'll send the next lot--BigDocFan (talk) 16:47, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
Okay, Thanks. I’ll give her some time. Perfect.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 16:57, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
Heard back from Lisa Ortiz last night, sadly her family was involved in a house fire so decided not to ask just yet--BigDocFan (talk) 08:01, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Ouch. What a predicament that happened. Ok. We can still wait.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 09:28, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Use talk pages
Do not use user talk pages for casual, small talk. If you want to have a casual conversation with another user, you can go to the forums. Thank you.--ForceFire 01:31, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
