Stuff Cheeks (Japanese: ほおばる Stuff Cheeks) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation VIII. Prior to Generation IX, it was the signature move of Skwovet and Greedent.

Effect

The user eats its held Berry, and raises its Defense stat by two stages in addition to the effect that Berry might normally have. The user can successfully eat its Berry even in the presence of Unnerve or Magic Room.

If the user is not holding a Berry, Stuff Cheeks cannot be selected from the move menu, and if the user has no other usable moves, it will be forced to use Struggle. If a Pokémon would use Stuff Cheeks, but is not holding a Berry when it would use the move (e.g. if its held Berry had been removed by Knock Off), Stuff Cheeks fails.

Games Description SwShLA The user eats its held Berry, then sharply raises its Defense stat. BDSP This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered. SV The user eats its held Berry, then sharply boosts its Defense stat. Champs The user eats its held Berry and boosts its Defense stat by 2 stages. This move can't be used if the user is not holding a Berry.

If the user catches sight of a Berry while using this move, its movement speed is increased for a short time. Upgraded to Stuff Cheeks+ when the Pokémon reaches Lv. 11. Upgrade: Increases the number of Berries the user drops from its tail.
