Radiant Energy Vol. 3 (Chinese: 专题包 辉耀能量 第三弹 Theme Pack: Radiant Energy Vol. 3) is the name given to a special subset of the Simplified Chinese Sword & Shield Era, released exclusively in mainland China.

Information

The third and final Radiant Energy subset provided more cards that had not been localized in Simplified Chinese. This subset comprised four regular cards printed on Mirror Holofoil paper with a glitter Holofoil inlay and 20 Secret Full Art cards sourced from several different Japanese expansions.

Each Radiant Energy Vol. 3 booster pack contains two cards. One slot will be one of the regular cards, while the other slot will be one of the Secret cards. Packs were not sold in booster display boxes and could only be found in specific products. The first wave saw release on September 20, 2024 and consisted of four gift boxes:

• Radiant Energy Pokémon Card Sleeve Gift Box: Dialga (Chinese: 辉耀能量 宝可梦艺术卡套礼盒 帝牙卢卡)
• Radiant Energy Pokémon Card Sleeve Gift Box: Palkia (Chinese: 辉耀能量 宝可梦艺术卡套礼盒 帕路奇亚)
• Radiant Energy Pokémon Card Sleeve Gift Box: Giratina (Chinese: 辉耀能量 宝可梦艺术卡套礼盒 骑拉帝纳)
• Arceus Nova Gift Box (Chinese: 阿尔宙斯新星礼盒)

These boxes feature the Pokémon of myth in their Origin Formes and the Alpha Pokémon Arceus. They also depict intricate radial patterns in a possible reference to the Hall of Origin from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Each of the Pokémon Card Sleeve Gift Boxes came with one Radiant Energy Vol. 3 booster pack, thirty 5-card Marine Shadow booster packs (comprising a random selection of Roar and Banish subsets, with at least ten of each), four damage counter dice, a themed coin-flip die, a pack of 64 themed sleeves, and two card dividers.

The more expensive Arceus Nova Gift Box features additional patterns on its box and accessories that incorporate elements of Mount Coronet. Water, Psychic, Metal, and Colorless type symbols are also featured, respectively referencing Palkia, Giratina, Dialga, and Arceus. This box was packaged with two Radiant Energy Vol. 3 booster packs, three 25-card Marine Shadow Roar booster packs, three 25-card Marine Shadow Banish booster packs, three Overshadowed Radiance booster packs, a pack of 64 sleeves, and a card display frame. The high-quality four-card frame complements the Ultra Rare-style Pokémon VSTAR cards from this subset, which form a combined illustration.

The second wave of products was released on November 15, 2024:

• Radiant Energy Pokémon Collector's Card Album Gift Box: Metal Type (Chinese: 辉耀能量 宝可梦收藏卡册礼盒 钢属性)
• Happy Gathering of Friends Exclusive Gift Box (Chinese: 伙伴们的欢聚 专属礼盒)

The three Pokémon Collector's Card Album Gift Boxes correspond with the Basic Energy cards available in the subset and feature the relevant type symbol together with appropriate Pokémon. Each one was packaged with one Radiant Energy Vol. 3 booster pack, six random 25-card Marine Shadow booster packs, a pair of card dividers, and a 2-pocket album capable of holding 64 cards.

The Happy Gathering of Friends Exclusive Gift Box was a large product that marked the upcoming second anniversary of the TCG in mainland China, and featured items that utilized an exclusive illustration by Atsushi Furusawa depicting characters from Hisui and Sinnoh. Such items included a foldable card display frame, which could display two cards; a double deck storage tin, which incorporated a sliding lid and a removable central divider; a pair of damage counter storage tins, which also featured sliding lids; two packs of 64 card sleeves; and a single-player playmat. Regular and Full Art copies of both Friends in Sinnoh and Friends in Hisui were also included as S-P Promotional cards in the box, as was a compliment of booster packs from across the Sword & Shield Series. This selection included three Radiant Energy Vol. 3 packs, two 25-card Dynamax Clash packs (one from each subset), two Dynamax Tactics packs, two 25-card Vivid Portrayals packs (one from each subset), two Brilliant Counterattack packs, two 25-card Primordial Arts packs (one from each subset), two Scorching Skies packs, four 25-card Polychromatic Gathering packs (two from each subset), two Flame Dance of the End packs, four 25-card Gallant Galaxy packs (two from each subset), two Overshadowed Radiance packs, four 25-card Marine Shadow packs (two from each subset), and two Victory Lodestar packs (which launched on the same day).

The last product to include packs was the Giratina VSTAR Advanced Deck Building Gift Box (Chinese: 骑拉帝纳VSTAR卡组构筑进阶礼盒), which was released on December 21, 2024. This self-contained product focused on the Renegade Pokémon Giratina and featured Lost Zone support. More information can be found here.
