Scarlet & Violet: Blade Awakening (Simplified Chinese: 朱&紫 利刃猛醒 ) is the seventh Simplified Chinese Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion of the Scarlet & Violet Series.[ 1]
Information Blade Awakening is the seventh Scarlet & Violet expansion to be released in the Simplified Chinese language version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Most of its cards originate from the Japanese Wild Force , Cyber Judge , and Crimson Haze sets, as well as a small number from other sets and products, including Transformation Mask , the Starter Deck & Build Sets , and the Generations Start Decks . The expansion focuses on Greninja ex , the Fighting-type Tera Pokémon ex , and sees the introduction of ACE SPEC cards to the Simplified Chinese language version of the game.
Blade Awakening features one card exclusive to the Simplified Chinese language: a special illustration rare print of Ciphermaniac's Codebreaking .
In total, excluding the aforementioned exclusive card, the set's cards originate from the following Japanese releases:
Cards are available in two different types of booster packs:
5-card booster packs; one card is either Reverse Holofoil or have a rarity of
20-card booster packs; six cards are either Reverse Holofoil or have a rarity of Each of the 173 common, uncommon, and rare cards in the expansion come in two Reverse Holofoil variants - one with a Poké Ball motif, and a rarer one with a Master Ball motif.
Iron Thorns printing error On December 25, 2025, the official Pokémon website for Mainland China announced that the Iron Thorns card's Megaton Lariat attack had been misspelled on the rare print, being spelled as 百万吨金勾臂 (the Traditional Chinese spelling) instead of 百万吨金钩臂 (the Simplified Chinese spelling). The art rare print features the correct spelling. This does not affect the playability of either print or their eligibility in official matches.[ 2]
