Scarlet & Violet: Ardent Obsidian (Simplified Chinese: 朱&紫 黑晶炽诚 ) is the fifth Simplified Chinese Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era.
Information Set banner artwork Ardent Obsidian is the fifth Scarlet & Violet expansion to be released in the Simplified Chinese language version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Most of its cards originate from the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame , Raging Surf , Ancient Roar , and Future Flash sets, though no Ancient or Future cards from the latter two sets are included. The expansion focuses on Charizard ex , the Darkness-type Tera Pokémon ex , which was also the focus of the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame and English Obsidian Flames expansions.
Ardent Obsidian features two cards exclusive to the Simplified Chinese language: a special illustration rare print of Larry , and a hyper rare print of Defiance Band .
Cards are available in two different types of booster packs:
5-card booster packs; one card is either Reverse Holofoil or have a rarity of
20-card booster packs; six cards are either Reverse Holofoil or have a rarity of Each of the 115 common, uncommon, and rare cards in the expansion come in two Reverse Holofoil variants - one with a Poké Ball motif, and a rarer one with a Master Ball motif.
