The Normal Gem (Japanese: ノーマルジュエル Normal Jewel ) is a type of held item introduced in Generation V . It is one of the Gems and is the only obtainable Gem in Generation VI onwards.
In the core series games Price Effect Generation V When held by a Pokémon, it increases the power of the first Normal-type move used by 50%, and is consumed after use.
Fling will fail if the user is holding a Normal Gem. Struggle will never consume a Normal Gem.
Generation VI onward When held by a Pokémon, it increases the power of the first Normal-type move used by 30%, and is consumed after use.
Normal Gem does not increase the damage or get consumed if the Normal move has its type changed by some effect (e.g. Pixilate , Ion Deluge ).
