In the anime

Regirock made appearance with Regice and Registeel in the 8th Pokémon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. The trio of legendary golems were gaurdians of the Tree Of The World's Begining.

Regirock was also used by Brandon in AG177. He used it to battle Ash when he was being possessed by the King of Pokélantis.

Pokémon Sapphire Regirock's body is composed entirely of rocks. Recently, a study made the startling discovery that the rocks were all unearthed from different locations.
Pokémon Emerald A Pokémon that is made entirely of rocks and boulders. If parts of its body chip off in battle, Regirock repairs itself by adding new rocks.

Trivia

Origin

This Pokémon is based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened.

Name origin

Regirock's name comes from regi, which is Latin for king, and the word rock.
