The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター オメガルビー・アルファサファイア 特別体験版 Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version) is a special, expanded demo edition of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It is a limited-release, unlimited-use demo that will only be downloadable on Nintendo's 3DS eShop, and will only be accessible via serial code. The serial code began distribution around October 15, 2014, but the date may vary by country and provider, but in all regions, the demo will cease distribution on May 31, 2015.
Gameplay
The Demo Version features a unique scenario that begins in Mossdeep City, where Steven requests the player's (locked as Brendan with the name "Orlando") assistance at the Mossdeep Space Center. The player is given a choice between a level 35 Grovyle, Combusken, and Marshtomp to accompany them, holding their respective evolution's Mega Stone.
During the demo, the player will be able to encounter wild Pokémon native to Hoenn, such as Linoone, Slakoth, Loudred, and Nosepass. It is known that an all-new Mega Evolution will also appear in the scenario, which varies by region. The demo will also feature a Multi Battle against Aqua Admin Matt and Magma Admin Tabitha. After the Extra events and scenarios are said to appear if the player plays the demo multiple times.
At the end of the demo, Steven will give the player the option to bring over the new Mega Pokémon and the items they find to their full Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire game via Pokémon Link.
