Biology
Physiology
Oddish looks like a blue plant bulb with feet, eyes, and small leaves sprouting from its head.

Special abilities
They scatter poisonous spores as they walk.
Behavior
They stay underground during the day, only to come out at night.
Habitat
Oddish live in grassy plains, and can also be found in tropical areas such as jungles and swamps, where the ground is rich in nutrients. They are very common.
Diet

Oddish most likely absorb some nutrients from the ground when they are burried.

Oddish is one of Pokémon in the Pichu Brothers' Possé.

Oddish is most likely based on a mandrake.
Name origin
Oddish's name is a combination of the words odd and the vegetable known as radish, although oddish is a word in itself, meaning somewhat odd. Nazonokusa may be taken to mean 謎の草, enigmatic grass.
In other languages
- German: Myrapla
- French: Mystherbe - Mystère means mystery, herbe means grass or weed. The whole word sounds very similar to just mystère.
- Korean: 뚜벅쵸 Ttubakchyo
- Chinese (Taiwan): 走路草 (Zou Lu Cao) - walking grass
