Metang (Japanese: メタング Metang) is a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Metang is robotic lifeform that has a disc-shaped body with a pair of appendages the resemble Beldum. It has two red eyes and a pointy nose. Even though Metang and its evolved forms are mechanical creatures, they still have emotions, the need to eat and a way of reproducing. Beldum has been said to be related to Magneton due to the fact that both of them are partially Steel-type that create electromagnetic waves to float in the air.
Gender differences
This Pokémon is genderless.
Special abilities
Metang's body is magnetized, and it uses magnetism to move, communicate, and control its attacks. It is said to be related to Magneton, but Metang's magnetism focuses on Template:Type2 moves instead of Template:Type2 moves.

Trivia
Origin
Metang has the features of two Beldum merged together, along with a flying saucer-like rim with spikes jutting out. It is also similar to a crab.
Name origin
Metang's name is a combination of metal and angstrom. It is also an anagram of magnet. A tang is also the part of a sword, knife, et al. the joins the base or handle and is an onomatopoeic sound of metal. Tang may also refer to tangent, a triginometry ratio, referring to its psychic typing.
