Trivia

  • Delcatty shares its shiny palette with its pre-evolution, Skitty.
  • Delcatty's normal colors during Generation III depicted it with dark pinkish ears, collar and tail end. These were changed to purple in Generation IV, to match with its original artwork and the anime.
  • Although it is more common to encounter a female Delcatty, most have been male in the anime.
  • Statistically, Delcatty is the weakest fully-evolved Pokémon in existance.

Origin

Delcatty is based off of a domestic cat. It also has hair style similar to a poodle.

Name origin

Delcatty's name is a combination of delicate and catty. Its Japanese name refers to 狗尾草 enokorogusa, foxtail grass, and 猫 neko, cat.
