Armaldo premiered in a movie that was shown in AG086. Its role in the movie was defending a castle where a Kirlia princess was held captive.
Another Armaldo made an appearance in AG102.
Along with several other prehistoric Pokémon, Armaldo made an appearance in DP017.

Name origin
Armaldo's name possibly originated from a corruption of armor; however, it could also be a combination of armor and armadillo.
