Trivia
Origin
Its appearance and habit of sticking itself with pins is highly reminicent of voodoo dolls.
Name origin
Banette's name is a combination of bane and marionette. Its Japanese name may be a corruption of Jupiter or a reference to Geppetto, a woodcarver who built a puppet that came to life in the story of Pinocchio. The -petta may also come from a japanese translation of puppet.
