Seedot (Japanese: タネボー Taneboh) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves into Nuzleaf at level 14 and evolves again into Shiftry via Leaf Stone.
Biology
Physiology
Seedot is a small brown creature that greatly resembles an acorn, so much so that it can easily startle Pokémon looking for food on the forest floor. It can stick onto trees with the top of its cap and it has two feet for moving about.

None.
Special abilities
Its size makes it capable of very little, however it is capable to learn Explosion.

Seedot enjoy consuming water and nutrients from trees.
In the anime
Seedot first appeared in Seeing is Believing. A trio of these Acorn Pokémon were in a sad mood and Professor Birch used his Pokémon knowledge to cheer them up.
In Pinch Healing!, one of the Pokémon that Matt was looking after was a Seedot. May played with it in the Pokémon Center.
A colony of Seedot and Nuzleaf appeared in Leave it to Brocko!.
Another one appeared in Old Rivals, New Tricks.

- Together with Pichu, Seedot is the easiest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Ranger, with only one loop necessary.
- Seedot, in size and shape, resembles a Met from the Mega Man series.
Origin
Seedot appears to be based on an acorn.
Name origin
Seedot's name may be a combination of seed and dot, or perhaps tot, referring to its small size. Its Japanese name is based on 種 tane, seed, and 赤ん坊 akanbō, baby, or 帽子 bōshi, hat.
