It evolves from Mudkip starting at level 16, and evolves into Swampert starting at level 36.
Biology
Physiology
Marshtomp is a based on the mudpuppy. Marshtomp is the second evolution of the Mudkip family. Marshtomp has a fin on his head, a point on the ends of both checks that are the same of Mudkip. Marshtomp has a orange belly and two fins as it's tails. Marshtomp can move more faster than mud than it can through water.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Mud Shot is one of Marshtomp's special moves because they learn it when they first evolve, and is commonly used by captive and wild Marshtomp alike.
Behavior
Marshtomp can be mild mannered, but are very protective of their kind, and are known to hurl mud at foes, this trait grows fierce upon evolution.
Habitat
Marshtomp and members of its evolution family live in swamps and wetlands deep in isolated islands. They tend to dislike freshwater ponds, lakes, and riverbeds. Oddly they travel great distances to freshwater beaches to make their nests.

Trivia
Origin
This Pokémon is based on the mudpuppy or mudskipper.
Name origin
Marshtomp draws its name from a combination of marsh and stomp. The numa in Numacraw is probably 沼, swamp, and craw is the same as claw, since Japanese uses the same characters for both "l" and "r".
In other languages
- German: Moorabbel
- French: Flobio
- Korean: 늪짱이 Neupjjang-i - The word 'swamp' (늪) and a suffix meaning 'specialist' changed (장이) combined.
