Allearth Forest (Japanese: オルアースの森 Allearth Forest) is an anime-exclusive location in Kalos. It is one of the settings of Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. It neighbors the Diamond Domain.
History
Long ago, a terrible catastrophic event occurred in Allearth Forest. This event, called the "Great Destruction", was caused by Yveltal, whose Oblivion Wing destroyed the forest and harmed many Pokémon. Out of nowhere, Xerneas stepped in and stopped Yveltal from causing any more destruction. Yveltal then went into a deep slumber in a cocoon located in a hole underneath Allearth Forest. A Carbink named Dace, who was journeying through Allearth Forest at the time, witnessed this happening. It later told the story to Diancie, whom it instructed to search for Xerneas as the Diamond Domain was in danger.
Much later, when Diancie returned to the Diamond Domain with Ash and his friends, she had not been able to find Xerneas yet. Leaving the Diamond Domain again, Diancie sensed Xerneas's aura coming from the nearby Allearth Forest. She traveled here together with Ash and his friends and eventually encountered Xerneas. Xerneas had some words of advice for Diancie before it disappeared. After this, Diancie was kidnapped by Riot. Inside the hole where Yveltal had gone into a slumber long ago, Riot battled with Merilyn and Millis Steel for who would keep Diancie. This disruption slowly caused Yveltal to wake up. It soon emerged from its cocoon and started to cause destruction with Oblivion Wing, just like it had done long ago.
Yveltal's rampage slowly caused the forest and everyone in it to turn into stone. No one was able to stop Yveltal, until Diancie remembered what Xerneas had told her earlier. This caused her to Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie. Creating a large diamond called a Heart Diamond, Mega Diancie was able to stop Yveltal's attack. Not long after this, Xerneas appeared to protect Allearth Forest once again. It briefly battled Yveltal until they simply stared at each other. Xerneas's mere appearance soothed Yveltal, and it stopped its rampage. It then flew off in the distance. While Yveltal was gone, its destruction was still apparent in Allearth Forest. Xerneas then used Geomancy to reverse the damage done. Following this, Xerneas turned into a cocoon-like tree to go in a deep slumber. Doing so, it protected the balance of nature.
Allearth Forest made a brief reappearance in I Choose You!, which is set in a timeline different from the main series.
