Pokémon world locations |
Challenger's Cave (Japanese: 修行の岩屋 Training Cavern) is a cave located in the western half of the Unova region. In Pokémon Black and White, a Black Belt appears to guard the entrance of this cave, allowing the player to pass and explore the cave if he/she has defeated the Elite Four and Team Plasma. It can be accessed at Route 9.
During the two year gap between Black and White and Black 2 and White 2, the cave entrance has collapsed.
Geography
Challenger's Cave appears to be carved out of a slight hill. The cave is very dark, so Flash is required to easily navigate the cave. There is also an underground stream located in Challenger's Cave, so Surf is also required to navigate the lower levels of the cave.

Trivia
- According to Ace Trainer Beverly, there is a story that states that a legendary Pokémon is said to live in this cave. This legendary Pokémon was training its student Pokémon. However, there is no known legendary Pokémon to be found in Challenger's Cave.
- Veteran Shaun appears in Black 2 and White 2 after the collapse of the Challenger's Cave, moving to Wellspring Cave, and Veteran Julia moves to Twist Mountain.
- However, Shaun's Pokémon change levels, as his Snorlax has dropped a Level in Normal Mode, while Julia has a set of new Pokémon.
