Ciao!

I'd like to talk you about the Finnish titles for one more time. The last time I contacted you, I actually lied, because I still had some Finnish Battle Frontier titles left. Now I'm sure that we now have every Finnish title of every Finnish dubbed episodes of Pokémon (I also keep filling the new titles as they come out). But I spotted one weird thing: I no matter how I searched, the titles of AG178-AG183 and AG186-AG187 remained undubbed. I'm a bit confused: the article Pokémon in Finland says that these episodes should have been dubbed, but there is no sign of dubbed titles. I know a Finnish user who has connections to behind the scenes (some kind of), but he/she isn't always active, and he/she is now having a "brake", so I turned to you. I don't know if you know anything about this, but I still try. --FinnishPokéFan92 14:25, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Actually, they have been dubbed and released once in MTV3 Juniori; I have also seen them all. However, I don't have the titles.--Den Zen 14:42, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
A bit odd, if you ask from me. They release the episodes, but they don't give any dubbed titles. Odd indeed... --FinnishPokéFan92 15:00, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Now I'm having trouble translating the Finnish title of DP147, which is "Etsivä löytää". Any suggestions? --FinnishPokéFan92 08:51, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that's pretty hard. Maybe "Searcher will find"?--Den Zen 08:18, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
It's also the best that I can think of, so I'm putting it. --FinnishPokéFan92 14:40, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm not completely satisfied with the translations of the titles of EP071 and AG089. Got any better ones? --FinnishPokéFan92 16:22, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Done.--Den Zen 19:18, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Now I have a title to translate that is not from an episode, but from a song: The Time Has Come (Pikachu's Goodbye). I made a translation, but I'm not completely sure about the order of the words and etc. Also I made some additions to Pokémon in Finland, and I'd like you to check it out and make it's style "more correct" if needed. Thanks.- unsigned comment from FinnishPokéFan92 (talkcontribs)
IMO everything looks fine as it is.--Den Zen 15:54, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Danks. --FinnishPokéFan92 15:55, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

WHY?!?!?

Why did you delete and Image I uploaded? Pikatwig 05:22, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Okay, first Dennou doesn't have powers to delete the images. Second, you uploaded an image with .jpg extension while the image upload form clearly says ".png for sprites, screenshots, icons, diagrams, and simple images". Along with that, the image was small 342 x 192 and its quality wasn't good either. That is why it was deleted. Please do not blame users without any confirmation, thank you. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 05:38, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Oh FUDGE! With whip cream! >:( Pikatwig 06:26, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Block = NO

Don't block me dude. Pikatwig 10:30, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Hahaha, I can't block you; I'm not even JA. However, somebody else may block you if you don't start making constructive mainspace edits and continue making pointless talkpage comments.--Den Zen 10:40, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Falk's death deals with Pikachu's article's lock... how?

Hi. Your recent edit to Pikachu's article mentioned that the article should be unlocked as Falk is dead. Can you please explain what his death has anything to do with Pikachu's article's lock? Weedle Mchairybug 22:10, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

It was merely a joke. I made a reference to this user, and because of him Pikachu's page had to be protected. Haven't you really seen any he or any of his sockpuppets, which you can find here, being blocked?--Den Zen 21:43, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

AIM

Hey DZ, do you have a minute? ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 08:12, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Yeah.--Den Zen 08:14, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Please help!

Should the translation of the Finnish title of AG072 be "the battle of genders" of "the battle of sexes", or doesn't it matter? --FinnishPokéFan92 16:38, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

It doesn't really matter, but I think "genders" is better.--Den Zen 16:46, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Cobalion's attack

Yeah, I noticed that myself. x_x; I was actually going to ask Nate about that when he got back. On the news post he used "Metal" instead of "Iron" so that's what I went with, even though I knew it said "Iron" in Japanese... Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:46, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm maybe too keen to patrol all edits :V...anyway, it was just a pure error on the news, not an intentional "error" that some cards have, because that card is the only one with that attack.--Den Zen 21:56, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Romanization

May I ask why did you change the romanization of the Pokemon articles? Is there any official source? If you're following the rocket-gang subbed episodes, then it's not correct and it has a lot of errors. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind, I didn't notice the link in your edit summary. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:29, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Moves

Do i really have to say it again? As you may already know it (since you commented on what i said on Cold's Talkpage). Please don't just remove it, join the actual discussion instead. UPD: I'll leave it to your edit for the time being, because i don't want to get blocked because of communication failures. But please discuss it further, i'll create a discussion page for the purpose. Pokeand 18:58, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Uh, what?

You undid my edit to EP005, not only without giving a reason, but... what is falk? And why undo that anyway? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 20:22, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Falk is a permabanned user who creates new new accounts and emails edit requests to other users, often related to Pikachu's Poké Ball. He was even mentioned here (April 16). If Falk requested that edit it would be ban evasion. But if you added the error without any requests, it can stay.--Den Zen 20:33, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Oh. Well, I've never had anyone ask me to make any edits. I only noticed this when I was watching the episode myself today. I had just bought the first 26 or so episodes on DVD the other day. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 20:35, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
OK, sorry. I was almost sure that he requested it because these edits, both requested by him, were almost identical to yours.--Den Zen 20:41, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Ho hum~

Did you see what I added? A simple 'a' for Shanderaa. That's it. View my edit as proof. ~ Blitzamirin ~ 03:49, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

If you can read katakana, you see instantly that Chandelure's Japanese name doesn't have long A sound in the end. It's just sha - n - de - ra. Did you really assume that Bulbapedia's transliteration is incorrect and some other site uses the correct one?--Den Zen 04:02, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
That's all fine and dandy. But um, you kind of killed most of the page...Ataro 04:04, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
I was trying to fix the page. Even Psy couldn't.

As for the Shanderaa matter, I remember it being a Romanization, as well as having a redirect. ~ Blitzamirin ~ 04:07, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Page blanking was my phone's fault that I'm using. And Shanderaa was an incorrect transliteration like Sazando and Hahakurimo.--Den Zen 04:21, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
I see. Well, being a new guy, I should expect less from you guys because you clearly know what you're doing. Anyways, I use my phone all the time (no computer), and this happens. Preview button helps. So, no problems on my side, you?
No problems, everyone makes errors after all.--Den Zen 04:53, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

OK

I'm sorry, I'm a very new user here and I don't know how things work here very well. I've been on another wiki, and this one is kind of strict compared to it. I am a talking Scrafty! You can talk to me, and I can reply! 22:11, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Sorry!!!

I know I made more than one edit but it wasn't on purpose. I accidentally pressed the "Save Page" button and wasn't finished. Sorry! (Vikeyviking 12:45, 31 July 2011 (UTC))

A question

Hey, I've been meaning to ask someone, so I thought I'd ask you. What do those green positive numbers and red negative numbers mean, regaring the things in my watchlist? Kynexn 13:13, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

They mean byte change of the page. Generally, one character is one byte and one Japanese or another special character is three bytes. For example, your edit on this page added 238 bytes, so the number on your watchlist would be (+238).--Den Zen 13:19, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

My user page

I have been editing, but how many edits do I have to make in order to edit my user page? Just wondering. I am a talking Scrafty! You can talk to me, and I can reply! 18:36, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but it is a secret number that almost nobody, including me, knows.--Den Zen 18:39, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

remove?

Why did you remove my picture, what do you mean no jpg's do I need to change it to png?Emeraldben 20:27, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Yes, all new anime images must be pngs. I'm not sure, but it may also be too small and/or have bad quality.--Den Zen 20:19, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
  • Done changed to PNG

Can it be true?!

I'm just so curious about this piece of information that I just couldn't wait for the episode to air: where did you find out that Iris is (likely) going to catch Meowth in BW043? --FinnishPokéFan92 13:27, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Oh, you really haven't heard of it yet? It's in 18:20.--Den Zen 13:38, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Distortion World

I know that one came from DPA, but I was referring to the one labelled "(anime)" directly above the one labelled DPA. --SnorlaxMonster 09:47, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Oops sorry; I apparently have to watch diffs more carefully.--Den Zen 09:58, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
I apologize for bothering, but the anime name was mentioned in M11. Technically, it was the description for the Reverse World (More details on its talk page). --超龍對話 10:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
I would question whether we should count that as a name then. I don't know about the Japanese name, but in the English version Newton says "distorted world", not Distortion World. Since we have another name which conflicts it, I would take the DPA name as canon, and the other as simply a description of the Reverse World. --SnorlaxMonster 12:02, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
In the original version, the Reverse Word is referred to as やぶれた世界, which is the Japanese name for Distortion World. The Chinese dub is always based on the original version. 破格的世界 also works as a name. And furthermore, Chinese names aren't always consistent, as you can see in Byron (東鋼 VS 東瓜), Candice (小菘 VS 鈴菜), and Volkner (電次 VS 電磁) for people, and Canalave City (水脈市 VS 運河市) and Sunyshore City (濱海市 VS 湖濱市) for places.--超龍對話 12:17, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Dub edits or dub errors

Every other time the dub has named a move differently we have done this, the same with Mismagius's Shock wave/Thunder wave and Trubbish's Sludge bomb/Sludge, we mention the move was different in the dub and then we list it on the moves page. What makes low sweep/low kick any different ? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:17, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

It's not any different; they all should be removed. It's very misleading to list them, because in reality they are different moves. The translators didn't change them intentionally, they were all 100% mistakes.--Den Zen 17:32, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
actualy there is no reason to suggest they are errors, just because we can't think of a reason why'd they'd change it in the dub, dose not mean there isn't one, but they are named differently in the dub so that makes them dub edits, we don't know if they did it by accident Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:48, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Just look their Japanese names. Low Sweep's is Low Kick, while Thunder Wave's is Denjiha and Shock Wave's is Dengekiha. It very obvious that they are mistakes. And WHY would they knowingly change moves???--Den Zen 18:54, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Exactly, why would they knowingly change them, they probaly are mistakes, yet that is not confirmed so all we can call them is dub edits, dosen't matter though, Kenji dose not seem bothered Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 21:16, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Constrict talk removal

You slated my problem with the Constrict RBY image for removal. What did I do wrong? Also, there was no green box, what are you talking about?? --Ninegon Forever! 19:57, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

I mean this:
Attention:
You are attempting to edit a page in the "File talk" namespace, probably to ask a question about an image. This is discouraged on Bulbapedia, as no files are stored on Bulbapedia. Instead, you should head to the Bulbagarden Archives talk page for this file, where specialist staff will be able to answer your question. Thanks.
If you have a question about a file, you must ask it on Archives.--Den Zen 20:06, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Voice actors

Where did you find about Cilan's Finnish voice actor even before the episode came out? --FinnishPokéFan92 09:40, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion

What sort of steps would one take to suggestion an addition to the format of the Pokemon pages? Drake Clawfang 15:51, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

I think this talk page is the best one for a suggestion, as project Pokédex doesn't have a leader.--Den Zen 16:23, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. Drake Clawfang 16:45, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

stuff

You can't prove that i am alipikachu how do you say that. I'm not Alipikachu --Aliraichu 14:17, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

I can't prove it but admins can...--Den Zen 14:20, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Evidence

Please provide it better next time. You've done this before with the official romanizations of Pokémon names provided on those stamp things. Provide the actual page where you found your evidence on. Saying that you Google searched it tells me nothing as when I do the same, I can't find it. If it was indeed on "all Japanese site" it should show up no problem. --ケンジガール 11:53, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Here's four sites that call her Elina while only one user on 2ch calls her Elena, and six users call her Elina there.--Den Zen 12:05, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Template update?

Hiya! Do you have authority to edit protected pages? Because, if you do, could you please edit the Animedexbody-template so that it doesn't show the link Fire Spin red? Just let me know, whether you can do it or not. Thanks. --FinnishPokéFan92 17:09, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Ps. I already asked SnorlaxMonster (talkcontribs) to do this, but since he hasn't been acivte for a few days, I decided to ask you for quicker help.

Nope; I was given JA powers temporarily when Bulbapedia was locked, but I haven't had them since June.--Den Zen 17:22, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Notes and Wiki-styles

Regarding your revert in Johto Route 45, I would like to point out that the data had once been the way I edited it to be now, but someone had changed it to the false figures. By adding the note, we eliminate the possibility of someone changing them back thinking that there has just been a typo. IMHO opinions should not be more important than what is practical, this Wiki is a source of information, not a piece of art. --Black Eagle 17:33, 9 October 2011 (UTC) EDIT: Also, there are numerous notes on individual Pokemons that say "This type combination is unique only to this Pokemon"...how does this differ from "This pond behaves differently from all other ponds in the game." --Black Eagle 17:35, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Come to think of it, it wasn't necessary to revert you edit fully. However, saying "Even though it seems unlikely and inaccurate" on an article isn't really appropriate.--Den Zen 17:47, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, yours is a lot better. Okay, I have not studied all ponds in Gen II, but for now this is the most accurate information we have. Thanks! (Sorry for being a bit sceptic - my first two edits and both got reverted... Nice welcoming. ;) ) --Black Eagle 17:58, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Explaination

I thought that the edit that was reverted was the image of Officer Jenny's Herdier since there was a bigger and better image. PattyMan 19:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring

Please do not start edit warring if there's an unwanted activity going on. If you're having trouble handling a user then you can always inform an active staff member about the issue so that it can be resolved in a rationalized way, instead of reverting the edits continuously. Kindly take care of it in the future. Thank you, have a nice day ahead. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 18:10, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Kanji

Were the kanji for the Ghost World actually used in closed captioning or something? Because other than that, the only places it would be written are Pokédex entries and the Reaper Cloth's Japanese name. Because kanji wasn't used in Pokédex entries until Black and White, where its entry does not explicitly mention the Ghost World. --SnorlaxMonster 10:43, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Well, I didn't actually find it anywhere but assumed it can be added. However, I forgot that the last sentence of this page says we don't need it.--Den Zen 10:53, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Edit regarding CoolPikachu

Isn't he staff? Just though I should bring it up in case the wrong user was removed. Vuvuzela2010 14:59, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Oh wait, it looks like he was part of that unexplained mass-staff-blocking that happened earlier in the month. Never mind. Vuvuzela2010 15:00, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Jessie's Wobbuffet's gender

Recently, I asked on the talk page for Jessie's Wobbuffet where and how its gender was confirmed, as you seemed to imply that there was solid proof of Wobbuffet being male, and not just due to gender differences. In response, Force Fire changed it back to "Unknown", and said on the talk page that its gender wasn't confirmed, that gender differences didn't apply due to Wobbuffet entering the main cast before Generation IV, and that its crush on Kirlia didn't count as those can be either gender. So... I'm a little confused here. IS Wobbuffet confirmed male? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 01:47, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

I assumed that its gender being male was accepted by Umeko, SnorlaxMonster, PsychicRider and Adyniz as they edited the page without removing it. But likely they just didn't notice it.--Den Zen 13:36, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

good point

In the talk for ep 263, you make a good point about the Aaron Carter mention, however, the reason why I believe what it says is merely that Aaron and Magby sound the same, which I would guess is how the editor of that article recognized it. I woulden't know about horribly written, my screen reader reads eveything exactly the same, "Bullet magby, starting in Address Unown" is what it says to me, just to fill you in. Now i'm curious, if it wasn't Aaron Carter, who did those voices that it mentions? doesn't say at all. Christian Woods azu azumarill! 22:13, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Simply somebody whose name is in credits. For example, Magby in EP263 is likely voiced by Eric Stuart, Maddie Blaustein or Dan Green. Anyway, I'm not really interested in the English dub and you should continue discussing this elsewhere.--Den Zen 22:30, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Where can I continue this discussion? I'm not 100% sure at all, sinse i'm a newby.- unsigned comment from Christian Woods (talkcontribs)

Here, but I don't know why should we believe what some Canadian guy without an account has added without proof but with eye-hurting grammar in a small wiki. Also, there is no mention about Pokémon roles in more reliable Wikipedia or IMDb pages.--Den Zen 18:56, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Good point, again. Christian Woods Azu! 13:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Agility for Gary's Umbreon

Hi DZ, can you please contribute to the conversation on Talk:Anime move errors? I'm trying to convince the community that Gary's Umbreon using Agility is the same circumstances as Misty's Staryu using "Counter", but only one person has responded, supposedly on the community's behalf. I'd like one or two more opinions if you could take time. Thanks a lot. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 23:51, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Houston, we have a problem

For some reason, my digibox didn't tape yesterday's episode, which, I guess, was supposed to be BW022. For some reason, I couldn't find the episode in Katsomo either. Can you please add the Finnish title of the episode to the page? I wish that episode will be added to Katsomo at some point, 'cause I really want to see it. --FinnishPokéFan92 09:46, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Also, I'm a little pissed now, as I realized that had that earthquake not happened earlier this year, the episode airing in Finland today would have been BW023 (unaired). SO frustrating. Voice actor help

I have a little problem that's bothering me. All main characters' articles, except Tracey, have the character's Finnish voice actors added there, but unfortunately, Brock, Jessie, James and Meowth miss the episodes/movies which in each voice actor has been in, and I think that May and Max also miss their voice actors from movies 5-7 (I'm not sure if Brock, Misty, Jessie, James and Meowth's actors from those movies are missing as well). So anyway, if you can do anything for this, I'd be please if you could fix these missing facts. --FinnishPokéFan92 12:39, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

I added some information about Team Rocket, but I'm not sure of the rest. I think you should ask *Jirachi* about them since she knows a lot about Finnish VAs.--Den Zen 13:22, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
You know, I would ask her something, except that she hasn't been active since last June. Pitty. --FinnishPokéFan92 14:12, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

What happened to the glitches I was confirming

Hey. I'm Cycling Road's younger brother. Whoever you are, I was writing and editing in glitches that I feel needed to be addressed. I just discovered or as someone told me on Yahoo Answers that the EXP Share giving one less EXP Point to a Pokemon holding it that defeats another one was a glitch. I put it under the right game and I had it happen to me in Pearl and I'm sure it was ok to place in all 4th gen games. I wasn't making anything chatty at all and I learned how to use the preview button and it took me a while. What did I do wrong? (MichaelXD 22:32, 1 January 2012 (UTC))

Your writing style was completely against this policy page. You can add it again if it is written in a professional style and good grammar (e.g. using é in the word Pokémon).--Den Zen 23:04, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for coming to help there! --FinnishPokéFan92 14:59, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
PS. Where did those titles come from? The TV guide page I use ("Telkku.com") goes only forward for four weeks?

They come from here.--Den Zen 15:01, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

I Don't Want to Start an Edit War, but...

Hi DZ. I recently saw that you undid my edit to the mainspace article on the Pokédex, and in the summary, it said, "unfortunately, that doesn't fit this site". I was just wondering, in your eyes, why does it not? I just wanted to give the people that are new to Pokémon video games a way to find out how to use the Pokédex, since it is an essential asset for any and all Pokémon Trainers. Also, I had something similar to the section that you removed in one of my previous edits to the page, which was removed a few weeks later. I was actually kinda sad about that, and as a result, I left Bulbapedia for a few weeks a little while back due to that and other factors. So I'm wondering: Why does it not "fit this site" in your eyes and how can I make it so that it does, if possible? Thanks! Pikachu9000 20:40, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Well, it wasn't really written according to the Manual of style; "How to operate the Unova Pokédex" isn't a good name for a section, and your text didn't have link templates or paragraphs. Of course, you can re-add the text if it's written properly.--Den Zen 21:13, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Got it! Thanks! From now on, I think I'll pre-write edits on (actual) paper before I do it on Bulbapedia! Of course it'll take longer to make changes, but heck, it's worth the wait for something new, especially if it lives up to its publicity, like a new userpage, or a new iPod or something like that. Anyway, thanks again! Pikachu9000 21:29, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Nick's Friend Page

Can I make my page for Nick's friend named Guren, which I think is pronounced Gwen? Chomper4 17:44, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Actually, it's Glenn. And yes, you can create the page on your userspace. However, remember to follow the Manual of style, use the preview button and hide/remove all categories before it's mainspaced.--Den Zen 19:03, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Any resemblance between "塔を登れ" and "タワーオブヘブン"? I am aware of the difference, just curious since the in-game name of Celestial Tower is タワーオブヘブン, but the episode title uses Kanji. Not to mention, Celestial is also near Mistralton City. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 13:33, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Yes, there's a small chance that it's the same tower, but I don't remember any episode in the Japanese version where a location has had a different name. Also, "天空" in the title means sky instead of heaven.-Den Zen 13:50, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
塔を登れ means "climb the tower". I don't really think they would assign kanji to something that is in English (except for ateji). But I remembered that there was a slighly different name for Oceanic Museum, it's called 海の博物館 in the anime, dropping the term かがく (科学) in the original name. --超龍對話 13:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for the help, both of you :) ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 14:41, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
