Poppy (Japanese: ポピー Poppy) is a member of the Elite Four of the Paldea region. She specializes in Steel-type Pokémon.
In the core series games
Poppy is first introduced to the player by Rika after they have won seven Gym Badges. Although she is far younger than the rest of the Elite Four, as well as Paldea's Gym Leaders, Poppy is considered one of the strongest Pokémon Trainers in the region. She is normally sweet and good-natured, but becomes competitive during battles; because of her age, she refers to her Pokémon with childlike nicknames. After the player becomes a Champion, Poppy watches their battle against Nemona in Mesagoza. Additionally, Poppy looks up to Rika as a mentor, despite Rika claiming Poppy is a better Trainer than she is, and Larry, whom she speaks highly of.

Poppy was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion and the English Obsidian Flames expansion, with artwork by yuu. An ultra rare version with artwork by the same illustrator and a special illustration rare version of the card with artwork by Ryota Murayama were released in the same sets. It allows players to move up to 2 Energy from one of their Pokémon and attach them to another of their Pokémon.
