Ice Face (Japanese: アイスフェイス Ice Face) is an Ability introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature Ability of Eiscue.
Effect
In battle
This Ability effect may be in need of research. Reason: Is Ice Face affected by Power of Alchemy, Mummy, Receiver? You can discuss this on the talk page. |
When an Eiscue that's in its Ice Face form is hit by a physical move, it takes no damage and changes into its Noice Face form. If a hailstorm or snowstorm begins while Eiscue is in its Noice Face form, or if it is sent out in its Noice Face form during hail, it will immediately revert to its Ice Face form. Eiscue will not revert to its Ice Face form if there is already hail when it changes into its Noice Face form. This form change persists even when Eiscue is switched out, but is undone at the end of the battle.
Ice Face does not protect against special moves.
Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has Ice Face. Role Play, Skill Swap, Entrainment, and Doodle fail if either Pokémon has Ice Face. Ice Face cannot be copied by Trace. Ice Face cannot be suppressed by Neutralizing Gas, traded by Wandering Spirit, or replaced by Lingering Aroma.
Outside of battle
Ice Face has no effect outside of battle.
