Staravia (Japanese: ムクバード Mukubird) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.

It evolves from Starly starting at level 14 and evolves into Staraptor starting at level 34.

Contents

Biology

Physiology

Staravia has a small M-shaped pattern on its chest, likely for its Japanese name of Mukubird. Staravia has a gray-colored spot on its forehead, and a spiky pattern of white on its face. The nails of Staravia’s claws are now black in coloration. They also have a crest on top of its head.

Gender differences

The gray spot on a female's forehead is smaller.

Special abilities

Staravia is capable of learning speed-based moves such as Quick Attack, Aerial Ace, and Agility.

Behavior

Recognizing their own weakness, they tend to live in large flocks with other Staravia. Squabbles over territory may occur when flocks collide. When alone, a Staravia cries noisily.

Habitat

Staravia live in forests or fields.

Diet

Main article: Pokémon food

Staravia mainly eat Bug-type Pokémon. They seem to have an affinity with the Yache Berry as well, as they are sometimes seen with this berry.
