A Rancher (Japanese: ぼくじょうおじさん Farm Man) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation IV games. They are depicted as middle-aged men, wearing cowboy hats and overalls, and carry pitchforks. Most are found near Solaceon Town.

They use a variety of Pokémon.

Ranchers are the male counterparts of Cowgirls. They also form half of the double battle team, Belle & Pa; The other half of the team is a Cowgirl.
