In Pokémon UNITE, Barrier is {{p|Mr. Mime}}'s second move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 upgrading {{m|Light Screen}} into it instead of {{m|Guard Swap}}. The user creates a wall that prevents enemies from passing. Holds 2 uses in reserve and cannot be used more than once every 2s. When upgrading Barrier, reserved Barriers will be restored to the maximum. At level 13, can store 3 uses in reserve. | |||

Trivia
- In Red, Green, and Blue, Lance has a Dragonite with this move, although Dragonite cannot legitimately have the move in any of the Generation I games.
- A Dragonite with Barrier was distributed as a participation gift in the Kanto Classic Wi-Fi tournament as a reference to this Dragonite.
- Despite having distinct effects in the games, Reflect, Light Screen, Barrier, Protect, and Safeguard are often depicted in the anime seemingly sharing the same effect that Protect has in the games (protecting the user from most the effect of moves).
