Bug Bite (Japanese: むしくい Bug Bite) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Bug Bite inflicts damage. If the target is holding a Berry, the user will then eat the target's Berry and gain its effect. Bug Bite's Berry-stealing ability will not work on a target that is behind a Substitute.

Trivia
- This move was more widely distributed in Pokémon Platinum. Only four Pokémon were able to learn it (without breeding) in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and even then, only by way of move relearner.
