Trivia
- Furiijio is the only Pokémon besides Porygon to learn Sharpen.
- Furiijio has the highest Special Defense of all non-legendary Template:Type2 Pokémon.
- Aside from Moltres, Solrock, and Groudon, Furiijio is one of four non-Template:Type2 Pokémon that able to learn SolarBeam naturally.
Origin
Furiijio's appearance seems to be based on both snowflakes and ice crystals. The ability to trap prey in ice crystals may be reference to Hrimthurs, Nordic giants whom were made of ice, who also has this ability.
Name origin
May be derived from "frigid", meaning intensely cold.
