Gen 9 Park Ball

According to List of items by index number (Generation IX) and Park Ball, the Park Ball does exist in Generation 9. So, is it functional in Scarlet / Violet? Does it again show up as ID 27? If so, the current note needs updating. WOLKsite (talk) 19:01, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mewtwo balls

In the "In animation" under "Other Variations" for Pokeballs, the Mewtwo discusses about how they are capturing Pokemon that are already marked with ownership.

A previous discussion in the article talks about how the Pokeballs are actually controlled by a unique system. This would mean that the research balls used by Mewtwo could be considered a superior and uncomfortable version of the master ball, able to lock the Pokemon inside. This talks about the Pokeball that Mewtwo used runs on a separate system, ignoring the Pokeball rulesets set by Silph Co. or the Devon Corporation.

This also considers the fact that in the animation, humans could possibly be "caught" as the energy of the Pokemon is formed inside the ball where the Pokemon changes size for the game lore as discussed in this article.

This is just a discussion as referring to the information already stated in the article. I'm looking into understanding the concept of the Pokeball and management. How would the other types of Pokeballs like the ones custom made or the non company based versions work for capturing Pokemon that are owned by other trainers for not? For instance, the stone ball that was used earlier is not connected with the Pokeball system. Does this mean if someone threw that Pokeball at an owned Pokemon, would it attempt to catch that Pokemon?

I wonder if there is an internal design that detects if the target the ball has struck determines DNA or structural type, not to capture humans. However, this is more of the animation specific, not the lore or game detail.

I didn't update the page directly, mainly due to my inability to summarize, objectify and factify this detail into a wiki-like readability.

This also made me think about the unique situations of which when Pokeballs are "disabled" via network... Does this also affect non-networked Pokeballs? Such as Sammy's Pokeball from the Celebi movie. This would mean that Poachers would use outdated Pokeballs to achieve theft and malicious activities without having to deal with the Pokeball network.
