Pokémon Kit Models

The Pokémon kit model sets were released in 1998, by Tomy in partnership with Chinese toy producer Auldey, for the Japanese market. The first release were wind-up toy figures to give the impression of movement, namely walking. Whereas the second release series, also released in 1998, used the model's head or tail to trigger a point of movement.
All kits are made from plastic. The models are packaged as pieces which require assembly, though included instructions help to make this process easier.
