Battle Café in Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Battle Café in Pokémon: Twilight Wings

The Motostoke Battle Café appeared in The Bittersweet Truth, where it was visited by Liko, Roy, and Murdock. The café's owner turned out to be a pâtissier named Mitchell, who used to run a pâtisserie with Murdock until Murdock's Milcery evolved into a Ruby Swirl Alcremie, which didn't match Mitchell's preference of matcha-based pastries. This had eventually led to an argument and a falling-out between the two. Liko suggested a Double Battle, with her siding with Murdock against Mitchell. In the midst of the match, however, Murdock and Mitchell suddenly started a bake-off. This fortunately led to the two chefs settling their differences and reconciling. It also turned out that Kabu was also visiting the café at the time, meeting Liko and Roy once the chefs had reconciled.

In Pokémon Horizons: The Series, the Battle Café has an outdoor battlefield, where customers can challenge the café's pâtissier to a battle and earn Slurpuff cotton candy as a reward if they win. Similar to the games, each customer is only allowed one chance to battle per day.

Pokémon: Twilight Wings

A Battle Café appeared in Early-Evening Waves, where Sonia and Nessa went there to discuss Nessa's recent losing streak.

Trivia

  • The Battle Café's design appears to be based on the United Kingdom's most popular coffee shops, Costa Coffee.
