Yūji Ueda

Yūji Ueda (Japanese: うえだゆうじ Ueda Yūji) is a Japanese seiyū for the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Ueda was born on June 15, 1967, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and became a seiyū as an adult. He previously used the kanji form of his name as his stage name, 上田祐司. He joined the Pokémon anime since it started airing, and is best known as the voices of Brock and Jessie's Wobbuffet. He has also provided several voices for minor characters as well as the voices of many Pokémon. Ueda is married to fellow voice actor Omi Minami. He was initially affiliated with Arts Vision, but left on July 1, 2004, and then joined Office Osawa on April 1, 2005.
