Stormy Sea (Japanese: 嵐の海域 Stormy Ocean) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. Fossilized and Water-type Pokémon inhabit this dungeon.
After completing the main story, the player must first talk with Lombre and Whiscash about Dive to access this dungeon. Once Whiscash has given the player Dive, they can access the dungeon.
In DX, Dive is no longer required to enter Stormy Sea, though the unlocking process is still the same as the original.
There are 40 floors in Stormy Sea, the last of which contains Kyogre. It is possible to recruit Kyogre upon one's first visit to the dungeon. When recruited, the player will automatically be given the Seafloor Cave Friend Area, of which Kyogre is the only inhabitant.
In DX, orbs appear much more frequently than normal in this dungeon. No variety of orb in specific is particularly prominent, however.
