Ash’s Farfetch’d is still determined to become a Leek Master, and Ash will do whatever he can to help! After learning about the Castle of Chivalry, a training facility run by Wikstrom of the Kalos Elite Four, our heroes are off! Wikstrom has an intensive challenge waiting for them, and the armor they must wear only adds to the difficulty. Ash, Goh, Farfetch’d, and Scyther traverse three trials, facing powerful opponents along the way. In the end, they earn Wikstrom’s admiration, and he not only awards them the Knight Medal—he also helps Goh evolve his Scyther into Scizor!

Ash's training at Cerise Park in order to better his teamwork with his Farfetch'd is interrupted when Professor Cerise and Ren, hoping to help him in his training, come to him and Goh to tell them about the Castle of Chivalry, a training facility in Kalos, established by Wikstrom of the Kalos Elite Four. As Ash thinks training there would be a good idea, Goh's Scyther rushes in, eagerly asking to come along too. Goh understands that Scyther hasn't gotten to battle much lately, so he happily agrees.
<!-- Detailed Plot goes here. -->

Arriving at the Castle of Chivalry, Ash and Goh meet Wikstrom, who explains that he established the facility to teach Trainers about chivalry, which he believes to be a way to achieve greater strength. Ash and Goh introduce themselves and their Pokémon. Wikstrom especially notes Farfetch'd's potential, deeming it a worthy student. The boys and their Pokémon put on suits of armor as Wikstrom explains the way the facility works: each pair of Trainer and Pokémon must pass three tasks within the castle, and those who reach the top of the castle are rewarded with Knight Medals for their accomplishment.

The first task is running ten laps around the castle. Despite the heavy armors they wear, the group takes the task on with stride. However, their task is suddenly made harder when Wikstrom's Probopass appears on the track and starts using its magnetic powers to pull everyone backwards. The boys and their Pokémon push through the magnetic pull, until Wikstrom deems they've shown enough strength of body and spirit, and lets them run unhindered again.

After Ash and Goh have completed the first task, Wikstrom directs them into the castle to take on the second task, the "Labyrinth of Doubt", meant to test their bravery within a trap-filled maze. Soon into the maze, Ash and Goh are separated and head in different ways. While Scyther defends Goh from being attacked by an Escavalier, Farfetch'd promptly ignores the Pokémon trying to attack it and Ash. When they reach a dead end, instead of turning around, Farfetch'd opts to smashing through the wall. Wikstrom, who's observing the task through surveillance cameras, notes that while Farfetch'd has notable fighting spirit and power, it still can't attain its true power. When Farfetch'd falls into a sudden trap hole and drops its leek, Ash jumps into the hole and saves the leek, narrowly avoiding falling down himself by gripping the walls of the hole. Ash climbs out of the hole and gives Farfetch'd its leek back, knowing how much it means to the category. Wikstrom notices that this experience seems to have changed Farfetch'd.

Ash and Goh both reach the goal simultaneously, and Wikstrom declares that they both have passed the second task. He then hands each of them a sword and leads them to a tower for the third and final task: retrieving the key to a locked door leading to the roof from his Klefki, while simultaneously having to fight him and his Aegislash. Farfetch'd and Scyther start attacking Aegislash, while Ash and Goh engage Wikstrom in a swordfight. However, as they fail to get results, Ash suggests a change in the plan, with him and Farfetch'd fighting Wikstrom and Aegislash while Goh and Scyther go after Klefki. Aegislash starts defending itself with King's Shield, and Ash recognizes Farfetch'd's reckless attack style as the same one that it used against Rinto's Gallade, meaning that it won't work. This distraction, however, leads to Ash being cornered, but just as Wikstrom is about to strike Ash down, Farfetch'd selflessly rushes in to block Wikstrom's sword, taking a hit from Aegislash's Sacred Sword in the process. Wikstrom tells Aegislash to use Sacred Sword again, but Farfetch'd uses a new move, Detect, to avoid it, before striking back with Night Slash. Before Farfetch'd can attack again, Ash tells it to stop, having noticed that Goh and Scyther have managed to retrieve the key, clearing the third task for all of them.

At the top of the tower, Wikstrom rewards Ash, Farfetch'd, Goh, and Scyther with a Knight Medal each for having passed the training course. He then makes a suggestion to Goh about evolving his Scyther, giving it a Metal Coat to hold and transferring it through a trade machine to evolve it into Goh. With their teamwork greatly improved, Ash promises to Farfetch'd that they'll beat Rinto's Gallade the next time they battle.

Plot

Ash's training at Cerise Park in order to better his teamwork with his Farfetch'd is interrupted when Professor Cerise and Ren, hoping to help him in his training, come to him and Goh to tell them about the Castle of Chivalry, a training facility in Kalos, established by Wikstrom of the Kalos Elite Four. As Ash thinks training there would be a good idea, Goh's Scyther rushes in, eagerly asking to come along too. Goh understands that Scyther hasn't gotten to battle much lately, so he happily agrees.

Ash climbs out of the hole and gives Farfetch'd its leek back, knowing how much it means to the Wild Duck Pokémon.

He then makes a suggestion to Goh about evolving his Scyther, giving it a Metal Coat to hold and transferring it through a trade machine to evolve it into Scizor. With their teamwork greatly improved, Ash promises to Farfetch'd that they'll beat Rinto's Gallade the next time they battle.
