Menu Development

Menu Development (Japanese: メニューかいはつ Menu development) is a mode in Pokémon Café ReMix that allows the player to check menu items that are in progress and those that have been completed. By training a staff Pokémon in charge of a menu item currently under development, an order for a new menu development can be unlocked. By clearing the unlocked order for new menu development, the new menu item will be added to the list of completed menu items and additional Pokémon will be able to visit the café.

Mechanics

In the original version of the game, Pokémon Café Mix, offerings used to be unlocked by reaching certain milestones in the normal orders. Clearing a specific order number would give the Café an upgrade or a decoration item that would add a new item to the menu, usually accompanied by a new Specialty gimmick. In Pokémon Café ReMix, however, offerings are tied to specific staff Pokémon and in return, completing a new recipe will attract new customer Pokémon, which are also specific for each offering. The first few items, Eevee Latte and Lilligant Floral Tea are unlocked as part of the story when the player begins the game. From then on, the player may complete the next recipes in any given order, depending on which customer Pokémon are served first, or which Pokémon reach the level requirement first. Recruiting staff Pokémon through Pelipper Delivery will also facilitate the development of new offerings. When the overhaul of the game was released in 2021 with version 2.0, staff Pokémon obtained in the original game were carried over, except for Piplup, Snubbull, Minccino and Togepi, which had to be re-obtained by players through the Menu Development.

The Menu Development screen can be found inside the Order screen, and is divided in two sections: In progress and Completed.

In progress

New recipes Each new recipe requires specific Pokémon from the staff to reach a certain level. Below these requirements, a picture of the new customer or customers that will be attracted to the café is shown.

In this section the items that have been completed are shown. In Pokémon Café Mix, each menu item used to have a description but these were removed in the 2021 overhaul.
