Wide Slash (Japanese: すいへいぎり Horizontal Cut) is a damage-dealing typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.
Effect
Generation III
Wide Slash will attack foes on the three tiles in front of the player; diagonally and directly across. Its power can be raised through Ginseng. It has the standard critical hit rate of 12%. As it is a typeless move, it bypasses Wonder Guard.
Generation IV
Wide Slash now has a base 8% critical hit rate, in line with other moves of average critical hit ratio.

Trivia
- Wide Slash is one of the only two moves exclusive to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, the other being Vacuum-Cut. However, this excludes Excavate and Spin Slash, both of which were taken out of the game late in development, although their TMs can be obtained through cheating devices.
