The Pokémon (神奇寶貝 (Taiwan), 寵物小精靈 (Hong Kong and Macao), 精灵宝可梦 (Current mainland name) 口袋妖怪*) franchise first reached China in 1998, with the first airing of Pikachu, I Choose You! on the Seoul Broadcasting System. Since none of the first generation Pokémon games were released in South Korea, it wasn't until the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver that Pokémon games were released in South Korean stores.
Pokémon video games
Currently, none of the Pokémon games have been translated. Many bootlegs of the series are sold into the mainland. Currently, Taiwan receives the Japanese versions of the video games.
Pokémon anime
There are several dubs of the anime and it is mainly based on the original Japanese version.
As a result of the games have not been brought into China, the anime has given names to the Pokémon. For more information on these translated names, see list of Chinese Pokémon names.
Music
The original openings and endings are currently used for the Chunghwa Telecom broadcast of the 神奇寶貝超級願望 anime.
Cast and Crew
Many voice actors and actresses have contributed to the production of the Korean dub of the Pokémon anime.

Pokémon Adventures has been translated into Chinese. 神奇寶貝特別篇 (Mandarin) and 寵物小精靈特別篇 (Cantonese) are translated by 青文出版集團 Chingwin Publishing Group. 神奇宝贝特别篇 (Mandarin) is translated by 吉林出版集团 Jilin Publishing Group, and it changes the name to become 精靈寶可夢特别篇 (Mandarin) in DP chapter (only Jilin version).
Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Adventure! has also been translated into Chinese. 神奇寶貝 鑽石·珍珠篇 is translated by 青文出版社 Chingwin Publishing Group. Pokémon Pocket Monsters 神奇宝贝 and its squeals, Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire 神奇宝贝 红宝石·蓝宝石篇 and Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl 神奇宝贝钻石·珍珠欢乐祭, have also been translated. The Electric Tale of Pikachu 电击皮卡丘, Ash and Pikachu 小智与皮卡丘, Magical Pokémon Journey 皮卡丘大冒险 我爱PiPiPi, Pokémon Getto da Ze! 神奇宝贝大搜捕, Pokémon Zensho 漫画版 神奇宝贝全书, and Pokémon: Golden Boys 神奇宝贝金银:金色少年 have also been translated as well.
