The Gym contains elevated platforms and traffic cones. Defeating the Trainers skating around the Gym floor will raise sections of the rail leading to the Gym Leader. Once all Trainers have been defeated, the rail will be complete and the player can challenge Korrina. A rail leading to the entrance will also open when all Trainers have been defeated, allowing a shortcut out.

In the anime

In the anime, Shalour Gym is located inside the Tower of Mastery, as first revealed in Origins of Mega Evolution!. In the next episode, Ash started his Gym battle against Korrina, and was able to defeat her Mienfoo and Machoke without losing any of his own Pokémon. Korrina then used her Mega Lucario, who defeated Ash's Fletchinder and Hawlucha with ease. Ash then used his Pikachu, who managed to defeat Lucario after a tough battle, ending the match in Ash's victory and thus earning him the Rumble Badge.

Pokémon used in Gym

Mienfoo
Korrina's Mienfoo

Mienfoo was used as Korrina's first Pokémon during her Gym battle with Ash. It battled against Ash's Hawlucha. Though it dealt lots of damage to Hawlucha due to Ash using Tierno's strategies instead of his own, it was later defeated with a Flying Press.

Mienfoo's known moves are High Jump Kick, Drain Punch, Force Palm, and Swift.

Machoke
Korrina's Machoke

Machoke was used as Korrina's second Pokémon during her Gym battle with Ash. It battled against Ash's Fletchinder and although it was very speedy and had powerful attacks, it was defeated with a Flame Charge.

Machoke's known moves are Brick Break, Low Sweep, and Focus Blast.
