An Eggant Berry (Japanese: ビスナのみ Bisuna Fruit) is a type of Berry exclusive to the Generation III games. It can only be acquired by scanning in the corresponding e-Reader card in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Held item

If the holder is infatuated, it will consume its Eggant Berry and cure its infatuation.

An Eggant Berry cannot be stolen by Thief or Covet, or exchanged by Trick.

The player will not be permitted to enter the Pokémon Cable Club Trade Center if a Pokémon in their party is holding this Berry. A Pokémon holding this Berry cannot be traded to Pokémon Colosseum or Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, nor can it be stored in the Western versions of Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire.

If held by a Pokémon transferred through Pal Park to the Generation IV games, it will become an Enigma Berry.

• The Mental Herb, also introduced in Generation III, has a similar effect to the Eggant Berry - but is unaffected by Berry-affecting moves and abilities, such as Pluck and Unnerve. As a result, the Eggant Berry was already largely redundant when it was introduced.
• The Eggant Berry is mentioned in the dish "Eggant in chili sauce" at the Battle Buffet in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon.
