Tail Whip (Japanese: しっぽをふる Tail Wag) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Tail Whip decreases the target's Defense stat by one stage. Tail Whip will do nothing if the target's Defense stat has reached a stage of minus six or a value of one, and will fail if the target has a Substitute or is under the effect of Mist.
