Shalour Gym (Japanese: シャラジム Shara Gym) is the official Gym of Shalour City. It is based on Fighting-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Korrina. Trainers who defeat her receive the Rumble Badge.
In the games
The Gym contains elevated platforms and traffic cones. Defeating the Trainers skating around the Gym floor will raise sections of the rail leading to the Gym Leader. Once all Trainers have been defeated, the rail will be complete and the player can challenge Korrina. A rail leading to the entrance will also open when all Trainers have been defeated, allowing a shortcut out.

In the anime
In the anime, Shalour Gym is located inside the Tower of Mastery, as was revealed in Origins of Mega Evolution!. In the next episode, Ash started his Gym battle against Korrina, and was able to defeat her Mienfoo and Machoke without losing any of his own Pokémon. Korrina then used her Mega Lucario, who defeated Ash's Fletchinder and Hawlucha with ease. Ash then used his Pikachu, who managed to defeat Lucario after a tough battle, thus ending the match with Ash's victory and earning him the Rumble Badge.
In A Diamond in the Rough!, Alain defeated Korrina with his Charizard during a Gym battle, thus earning himself his own Rumble Badge.
In Solitary and Menacing!, Bea was revealed to have visited the Shalour Gym and defeated Korrina rather easily.
Similarly to the games, the Shalour Gym features some Roller Skate rails in the anime; Korrina rode on those while arriving to battle Ash.
Pokémon used in Gym
Mienfoo was Korrina's first Pokémon during her Gym battle with Ash. It battled Ash's Hawlucha. Though it dealt lots of damage to Hawlucha due to Ash using Tierno's strategies instead of his own, it was later defeated with a Flying Press.
Mienfoo's known moves are High Jump Kick, Drain Punch, Force Palm, and Swift. | ||
