In the anime
Hapu was revealed to have a Groundium Z on her Z-Ring in That's Some Spicy Island Research!. She was first seen using it in conjunction with her Mudsdale in A Grand Debut! during her grand trial with Ash. Another Groudium Z appeared later on, among the set of type-specific Z-Crystals, which Hapu let Ash pick his grand trial prize from.
A Groudinium Z appeared in SM114, where it was one of the Z-Crystals stolen by a Pheromosa.
A full set of replicas of the type-specific Z-Crystals, including the Groundium Z, appeared in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where they were shown to Ash and his classmates by Professor Kukui.
