Gladion's Umbreon (Japanese: グラジオのブラッキー Glazio's Blacky) is a Pokémon owned by Gladion in the anime
History
Umbreon is Gladion's first known Pokémon who first appeared in A Glaring Rivalry!. In a flashback, it appeared as an Eevee, where it was found by Gladion who brought it to Hobbes who promised to take it to a Pokémon Center. Umbreon found itself the target of Tupp, Zipp and Rapp from Team Skull but Gladion soon sent them flying with Lycanroc's Stone Edge. After Gladion was challenged by Ash, Umbreon went over to Professor Kukui's house where Ash was staying to give him a message that Gladion had accepted Ash's challenge. Gladion later used Umbreon to help free Lycanroc and Ash's Pikachu when they were captured by Team Rocket.
Umbreon was later seen in SM037, where it tried to help Gladion comfort his Type: Null as it felt uncomfortable with its helmet. Umbreon later reappeared in SM044 and SM047, where it was seen with Gladion.

In SM050, Umbreon helped Ash rescue Nebby from Faba only to watch in horror as a Nihilego emerged from the Ultra Hole and merged with Lusamine who sacrificed herself to save Gladion and Lillie and return through the Ultra Hole.
Gladion later used Umbreon in SM053 and SM054 where they battled Lusamine's Pokémon when she was under the control of Nihilego and battled her Absol only to be frozen by Mean Look but was freed when Silvally took Absol down before the battle continued before Ash managed to break Lusamine free of Nihilego's control.
Umbreon reappeared in SM055, when Gladion met up with Ash.
