Plot

Ash and friends split apart but Clemont's Dedenne doesn't want to split apart from the group and runs off.

Major events

• Alain tells the gang that he plans to "start at zero like Ash" after the gang notices he's no longer wearing his mega ring.
• Team Rocket returns to Kanto.
• Serena leaves the group and heads to Hoenn.
• Ash and Clemont have a battle, with the end result left unknown.
• Ash separates from Clemont and Bonnie, leaving the Kalos region and returning to Pallet Town.
